Before<<pre-surgery photo that still looks hopeless even now>>After<<photo 2 days after surgery>>After<<photo 2 weeks after surgery>>After<<photo 2 months after surgery>>After<<photo 5 months after surgery>>So that this can be even a little helpful to people considering double eyelid surgery, I’m posting the whole process from before surgery until now in lots of detail.
In my case, I originally had creases on my eyes, and when I got tired, one eye would get two crease linesㅠㅠ
My older sister had double eyelid surgery and it turned out so well, so I also wanted to do the buried-suture method naturally, without it looking obvious. But I was worried that, because of the double eyelid crease that forms now, if I had surgery later I might end up with two linesㅠㅠ I was really worried they might tell me to do an incisional method, but the director just marked the line and said the buried-suture method would be more than enough and told me not to worry~
Finally, surgery dayㅠㅠ I was honestly extremely nervous before the surgery, but the nurse kept talking to me and helped me relax. She told me not to tense my eyes and gave me a doll to hold, so during surgery I held the doll tightly in my hand and was able to endure it well. When I got the anesthesia injection, it felt like the needle went in deeper than I expected, and there was a stiff, aching feeling, but it was only for a moment. I didn’t really feel much of the surgery itself, and I liked that it ended quickly. My older sister was the same, but they said I didn’t swell as much as other people.
By 2 weeks after surgery, a lot of the swelling had gone down and it looked natural. It doesn’t really show in the photos, but in person, the right side (left side in the photo) felt sli~ghtly thicker. But when I went to the clinic and asked, they said it was because the swelling was going down differently in each eye, and that it would get better after a little more time. And as time passed, they were rightㅎㅎ
By 2 months after surgery, it felt like almost all the swelling was really gone, and it seemed like the line was almost settled!! Even when I closed my eyes, it didn’t look obvious at all, and the reactions from people around me were totally explosive. Now I just hope people around me quickly forget what I looked like beforeㅎㅎ
Now that it’s been 5 months, how I feel is that these are just the eyes I was born with now... hehe I’ve always liked very natural lines, so it doesn’t look like I had surgery, and people I meet for the first time think I originally had double eyelids..ㅎㅎ
Once, a guy I had a thing with said my eyes were the most attractive part of my faceㅎㅎ I did feel a little guilty, but I just lowered my head. I wanted to laugh out loud, but I held it inㅎㅎ I was really happyㅎㅎ
I worried it might hurt, worried what if I was left with scars, and worried what if it looked too obvious, but those kinds of worries are exactly the kind you should toss to some passing dog.
These days my confidence is totally up, so I’m busy going around everywhere. Now I want to get my nose done tooㅎㅎ~ㅎㅎ
Still, I tried writing honestly and in detail about what I felt. How is it? Thank you for taking the trouble to read such a long postㅎㅎ Thank you~ See you again next timeㅎㅎ
