After the CSAT, when my friends were getting LASIK and LASEK, I was too scared, so I only thought about itㅠㅠ As time passed, my vision got worse, and wearing glasses while working was uncomfortable, so I thought I should get LASIK or LASEK. Since I was quitting my job, I also scheduled the surgery!
The reason I did LASEK instead of LASIK is that LASEK has been around for longer, and I looked up a lot on YouTube and ophthalmologists seemed to have done LASEK a lot too!!
So I chose LASEK:) LASEK is cheaper! I tend to tolerate pain well, so I wasn't afraid to choose LASEK! But it hurts… It hurts quite a lotㅠㅠㅠㅡI had to spend 2 days almost unable to open my eyes, and after exactly about 48 hours, I could open my eyes from then on. I did regret getting LASEK because it hurt, but you only have to endure 2 daysㅠㅠ
And what is inconvenient is that after surgery, you have to wear UV-blocking glasses for 6 months! I think for LASIK, you probably don't have to wear them for up to 6 months!
At first, the vision in both eyes was different and the glare was different too, so I think whenever I looked at something outside, I covered one eye at a time and checked my visionㅋㅋㅋㅋ
But as time passed, I got used to these things, and my vision in both eyes also improved to a similar level! Right now it's 1.5/1.2, and according to the doctor, it will go up more. With LASEK, vision recovers slowly!
Dry eye is a bit severeㅠㅠ If it's even a little dry, it hurts when I open my eyes in the morningㅠㅠ These days, when it's too dry, I turn on a humidifier and use a warm eye mask while managing it! Artificial tears 0.3 are absolutely essential!
If you get LASIK or LASEK, insurance doesn't cover it, so some people may buy artificial tears in advance, but you need to buy 0.3, not the basic ones! I bought the basic ones and can't use themㅎㅎ
I got dry eye, but the happiness of being able to see well is so big that I'm very, very satisfied! Worrying about vision correction surgery only delays happiness..!!
