<I was always a square when someone else took the photo, so I was mad> I got contour surgery type 1, square jaw surgery, at the much-anticipated 345! Ever since before, my square jaw had been a complex, so I tried hiding it with my hair, and for photos I only ever used beauty apps..
I really hated how I looked when other people took pictures of me like this People would say that in real life it’s not this bad, but I was always stressed I felt like I couldn’t keep going like this, so I impulsively went ahead and booked square jaw surgery Before going to 345 for a consultation, I had actually been to another clinic too. It was cheaper than 345, but still, deciding everything after just one visit didn’t feel right, so I came to 345 for the next consultation, and first of all, the manager was so nice..
While I was having the first consultation with the manager, filling out the questionnaire, and waiting, the doctor came in and explained a bunch of things He looked very confident, and I hadn’t prepared a single question, but he explained everything so thoroughly that I actually got flustered Then time passed quickly until the surgery day The day before surgery, before the fasting time started, I stuffed my face with everything I could get my hands on I was so full that I couldn’t eat rice cakes at the end, and I regretted it for a month.. If there are any rice-cake lovers here, definitely have rice cakes as your last meal.... On the day itself, when I got to the hospital, strangely I wasn’t shaking or nervous at all, it was just calm, like I was going to work as usual..? I even found that surprising myself Anyway, I changed clothes, rinsed with the red antiseptic mouthwash (it tastes really bad), got weighed, and it felt like I was lying down on the operating table What stuck with me then was, ‘Wow, how much did I eat yesterday to gain 1 kg...’..... They stuck in a really thick needle and it hurt, then when they started anesthesia they said, count one two three~ So I said one.. two.. and immediately fell asleep, then woke up right away and I was lying on the bed
Other people said they were told, “Wake up!! Wake up!!” and stuff like that, but I have zero memory of that. I just woke up and was on the bed, what.. As soon as I woke up, I was so, so cold When I told the staff I was really cold, they immediately brought me a heater and it got warm, then hot, really fast,,
Strangely enough, I really didn’t have any post-op pain... and I didn’t get any headache from the anesthesia either. I didn’t bruise, either. The hardest part was honestly just sitting on the bed without my phone, staring at the clock and blinking When the doctor came around for rounds, I said, “I’m so bored it’s really hard for me..." He looked like it was the first time he’d ever seen someone like that.. I mostly dozed off and woke up, dozed off and woke up.. and at the second round I asked if I could drink water and got the okay! The doctor asked why I was acting like a chronic inpatient lol.. it doesn’t hurt,, me,, Anyway, I drank water straight from a sauce container and went to fetch my phone from the locker room, pushing the IV pole with me~ Having my phone made the time pass better, and after a short nap I was discharged!
I’d really recommend taking a taxi or going with a friend’s car. Because of the bandages, even a mask, bucket hat, or hoodie hat wouldn’t hide it! As soon as I got home, I just came in and slept deeply.. whew Wow, the swelling was no joke...? It peaked up until day 4 after surgery.. Like a puffer fish puffed up in anger.. like a dog stung by a bee...
Until day 4, honestly there was nothing I could do, and I couldn’t really do anything anyway There wasn’t much I could eat, just drink.. Newcare Diabetes Plan walnut mini << tasty! Ottogi soup, Bonjuk beef vegetable porridge blended really smooth, and pumpkin porridge were basically all I ate From day 5, I started eating brothy foods. Seaweed soup without seaweed.. galbitang without the ribs.. And then soaking castella in milk and eating that (the best) For me, eating was really the hardest part... From day 5 I went out, made plans, and went to work too!
Every time the swelling went down a little, I kept saying, “Look, my swelling has gone down a lot now!!!” lol At my 2-week follow-up, they said I was rinsing well, so I felt proud! (Honestly I wasn’t that diligent though hehe) This is a secret from the staff, but I also went to a baseball stadium and chewed on french fries.. Ate risotto too.. and even peeled off the fried coating on fried chicken and ate that... little by little, I managed to eat.. I’m at 1 month now, and food plus not being able to brush my teeth are probably the hardest parts, but let’s just endure 2 weeks to 1 month As the swelling definitely went down, I could start to see my jawline a bit more, hehe The fact that it can still go down more from here makes every day exciting....!!!!!!!
