My nasal tip has dropped a lot compared to when I first had surgery, so I need revision surgery, but I’m unsure about the material I’m considering costal cartilage, so I’ve been looking into donated costal cartilage/autologous costal cartilage, and more people than I expected have used donated costal cartilage? I heard it absorbs easily, so I thought maybe it’d be better not to use it, but it also seems like it might be okay.. When I looked at reviews of donated costal cartilage cases, the line came out clean and nice too Each material has different pros and cons.. with autologous costal cartilage, I’m most worried about the scar It’s not an area that’s very visible in daily life, but the fact that a scar remainsㅜㅜ It’s my first revision surgery too, so I’m not really sure what’s right If possible, would it be better to play it safe and just use autologous costal cartilage??..

dnndnndnd What exactly does absorption mean? I’m considering autologous costal cartilage, but does autologous costal cartilage have that issue tooㅠㅠ?
huuuuii I have heard that it gets absorbed a lot Plus, it’s not your own tissue, it’s someone else’s And the process of treating the material felt unsettling in various ways, so I went with autologous costal cartilage In the long run, I think autologous costal cartilage is much better
seywoobly They say donated costal cartilage these days is safe because the chemical processing is done well too.. I used donated costal cartilage because of personal circumstances
seywoobly [@seywoobly] Since both definitely have pros and cons anyway, you can choose according to your personal circumstances

Nose Re-Surgery@rhino-redoApr 29 Complete removal after one month due to nasal inflammation
I developed inflammation 2 weeks after nose surgery, so I took antibiotics, and at week 4 I had the silicone removed. But there is still an inflammatory reaction, so I’m looking into complete removal ㅠㅠ The clinic says we should keep trying
Nose Re-Surgery@rhino-redoApr 29 I’m deciding between Asan and RU! Has anyone had surgery at Asan?ˀ̣
My nose had inflammation, so everything has been removed, and I think there’s still a little inflammation left. Considering that, I feel like Asan might be the right choice, but I’m so torn because I don’t know if the shape will turn out pr
Nose Re-Surgery@rhino-redoApr 29 Can contracture also occur with implant-free autologous costal cartilage?
