Nose Surgery Reviews@rhino-review

A question for those who had chest costal cartilage~

This is my 6th revision rhinoplasty [Used chest costal cartilage] We had planned to use costal cartilage for the nasal bridge and nasal tip, but they said the bridge could not be done [because the chest cartilage had calcified. They said it couldn’t be used up to the bridge.] So I had surgery with silicone for the bridge and costal cartilage for the nasal tip. Today marks day 25.

At first, I had a lot of concerns and worries because of my nose, but currently the swelling is going down. I’m getting used to the foreign-body sensation, and the stuffiness in my nose is decreasing too.

Chest costal cartilage [after surgery, it really hurts. For about a week, you can neither get up nor lie down.. You do manage to get up with difficulty from time to time] At this point, I can get up better than I could then. It feels like my ribs are overlapping.. an unpleasant and bad feeling, and I can’t use much strength. Even small objects are hard to lift, and sometimes breathing in and out feels difficult. [Maybe the breathing issue could be because I’m thinking that way..] I walk around holding the surgical area with my hand. It may be because of my age, but my condition is definitely not like before. The area above the surgical site is swollen, and it feels like the bones are overlapping. Worrying about my nose and worrying about my ribs... Time must be the answer.. I hope my condition improves soon.

I’d like to share experiences and progress with those who had surgery using chest costal cartilage~^^
