3 years ago I had nasal hump osteotomy, 4 mm silicone, and because my nasal tip drooped like a witch’s nose and I had a bulbous nose, the nasal tip was done with septal cartilage. The silicone was showing through, so I was going to remove it, but I was scared of surgery and kept putting it off.
A few days ago, the right side of my nasal tip became red and painful, so I went to an ENT clinic (the hospital where I had surgery), and they said it was inflammation and told me to take antibiotics for 1 weekㅜ
And today is day 3, but it was still red, so I touched it, and under the really thin skin I can feel something like a small thin pearl, about 2 or 3 mm? It feels like it’s about to protrude. Isn’t the redness and pain because the septal cartilage is protruding?ㅠㅡ
They say if you remove it because of inflammation, the nose turns upㅜ If the nasal-tip septal cartilage is removed because of inflammation, will it still turn up?ㅠ Before surgery my nose was droopy like a witch nose?... Will it turn up?
Also, when removing septal cartilage, they say the part that was previously cut disappears and the nose gets compressed...ㅠ
Is that really true? The doctor said my septum is very large, like a man’s, so there is enough left to cut again...ㅠ
