I got it removed.

Even though I kept going in and out of this community, I couldn’t find an example of someone who had the same kind of surgery as me, so I’m someone who went through a lot emotionally before deciding to have it removed. I had the surgery on January 2 of this year, and I got the removal done after six months... My nasal bridge wasn’t low, and I only had a slight hump, so I didn’t get silicone put in; I thought I only had the hump shaved down and had the nasal tip gathered? raised with ear cartilage. No, that’s what I thought. The reason I got it removed was that I’m very timid, and people’s gazes, plus whatever was in my nose being so hard, really stressed me out so much during the semester I felt like I was dying. I kept being conscious of my nose and couldn’t focus on assignments. From January to March, I only cried, didn’t eat, couldn’t tell my mom, and embarrassingly only cried and told a close friend that I regretted it... It didn’t even look obvious that I’d had surgery. My dad said it was such a waste to have had the surgery, and even a friend I met once a week only knew because I told them.. But whether it showed or not isn’t what matters; what matters is whether I was uncomfortable or not, and whether it hurt or not. Anyway, so I got it removed today. Removal was free. I went in for the consultation with my mom. I asked, “You’ll really remove everything?” and they said yes// Then they sighed and said, “Yes, okay. We’ll remove both the silicone and the cartilage.” I was like, “What? Silicone? I don’t have silicone?” Because when I had the surgery, I said I absolutely did not want silicone put in. I was honestly dumbfounded. No wonder ㅡㅡ I thought something felt way too hard my nasal bridge ha... I was so dumbfounded that I asked, “Then what happens if this is taken out? It’ll get really low.” They said, “What do you mean what happens? It just goes back to your original nose~” as if it were nothing, so I just had the surgery. The removal surgery took 10 minutes. Anyway, I had it removed today... Only my heart feels relieved; my nose still hurts.. My nasal tip is swollen and my nasal bridge feels soft and squishy I’m scared about taking off the tape It won’t be a really weird shape, right? I had the hump shaved down.. But I guess the silicone wasn’t placed on top of the hump; since I had a drooping arrow-shaped nose, maybe they placed ear cartilage and raised it to the same height as the ear cartilage? So it wasn’t inserted all the way between my eyebrows.. I don’t know. It’s so nice that there’s nothing inside my nose now but I’m so scared My face used to still look cute, but what if it turned ridiculous What do I do For those who had removal... do people notice? Do people often react like, “Huh? Did you get it removed?” or “Huh? Something looks different about you?” I worry too much and care a lot about other people’s gazes Please help me Please comfort me
