I'm almost done with orthodontics and I think it's good. My protruding mouth has receded a lot, and when I smile I get dimples, so lol I like it. I think my smiling face looks much prettier. I haven't lost any weight at all..ㅋㅋ But strangely, my jaw became a complete V-line. I don't even know why.. The pain I had also goes away in two or three days, and if you can afford it financially, orthodontics seems like a good option.
