The other day I removed the splint and had the outer stitches taken out, and since I took a week off and went back to work, there’s been so much piled up that my head’s been spinning. Today makes day 10. (For reference: donor rib cartilage support + septal graft + 2~3 mm silicone, and at 2 years post-op I removed the septal graft that had been placed on top and had everything taken out.) The people at work say it doesn’t really show, hahaha. The nose tip doesn’t stand out much, but the bridge is definitely gone, hahaha. When I compare the before-and-after photos, my original nose had severe asymmetry, but after making the nose higher, the asymmetry got worse over time,, At the time, I was just satisfied that it looked better than before, so I didn’t really care much about the crookedness and things like that,, and the donor rib cartilage could also be seen reflected at the tip. It doesn’t show much in photos, but it is different, hahaha. Right now, my nose feels like it’s in between before and after surgery. Oh, and if a contraction phase comes, will my nose rise a lot more and get smaller than it is now?? Right now, it’s still manageable,,, I hope the contraction phase doesn’t come I’m scared it’ll rise more, and my original nose is the kind with no columella tissue in the center at all, but after removal it did sink in a bit, though there’s still some left, I don’t want it to sink in, but if the contraction phase comes, will all of that disappear? For those who had a contraction phase, is there a big difference between the nose right after removal and the nose after the contraction phase has passed and loosened up?
