Clinic consultation review: ㄴㄴ / ㅂㅌ / ㅎㅌ / ㅁㅂ + how I chose clinics to visit…

ㄴㄴ (natural to naturally defined) Director ㄱㅇㅎ CT scan, elevator available (you have to move between floors) Reason I didn’t choose it: factory-like setup (many directors). I booked after specifying the director, but when I actually went, they said that director was not in a situation where they could perform surgery, and the consultant introduced me to another director. It wasn’t even a same-day booking, so I think they should have contacted me in advance. (It felt a bit off trying to consult without having any information about the director they introduced.) There was pressure to pay a deposit (not severe). ㅂㅌ (naturally defined to dramatic) Director ㅇㅅㅎ CT scan, photo shoot Reason I didn’t choose it: while waiting here, I happened to see reviews saying people were dissatisfied with that director’s shape, asking where the director had gone, etc. (I hadn’t seen them when researching..) I thought about saying something came up and just leaving, but since I had made the effort to go all the way to Gangnam, I did the consultation. The consultation with the director was neat and fine, but the consultant’s pressure to pay a deposit was seriously intense.. After hearing the final price, for about 15 minutes I gave polite refusals like, “I’ll think about it” and “My schedule isn’t definite, so I’ll contact you again”.. but they kept saying things like I had to book now to have surgery at the discounted price.. It drained me. ㅎㅌ (dramatic) Director ㅎㅅㅊ CT scan Reason I didn’t choose it: price issue and surgery-type issue I knew the wait would be bad, but it was really quite severe. Waited 20 minutes in the consultation room until the consultant consultation - consultant consultation (during the consultation, they called my name wrong.. misread ㅈ as ㅊ, then later called it correctly) - waited 40 minutes for the director consultation - in the end, it took about 1 hour and 30 minutes until the director consultation. The director mentioned a nasal fracture that none of the other directors had mentioned so far (a nasal fracture I didn’t even know I had). They said there was a slight fracture at the end of the nasal bridge, probably from getting hurt while playing when I was young, but since it was a fine fracture I likely didn’t know, and it wouldn’t interfere with surgery. (I evolved from just a wide nose into a wide and fractured nose.) Since this place is busy, both the consultant and director speak rather quickly. While receiving the consultation, I didn’t clearly remember exactly what surgery I would be getting. Maybe because many types of procedures were included, the price was expensive. Hump correction, silicone implant, bulbous nose correction, columella correction, nostril reduction, alar? and so on. (There were so many that I wondered if they were all procedures I really needed.) It was my first surgery, but the original price was in the 7 million won range.. discounted to 5 million.. There was no pressure to pay a deposit. Final chosen hospital ㅁㅂ (naturally defined to dramatic) Director ㄱㅈㅎ CT scan, photo shoot I was lucky with the consultant. While filling out the medical questionnaire, I noticed one kind consultant, and she became my assigned consultant. (Great timing.) The consultant session wasn’t burdensome, and she seemed to have a lot of pride in her hospital. Of all the places I’d seen so far, this director examined me the most thoroughly. (When I asked about nasal tip materials, they showed photos of cartilage and rib cartilage and explained in detail.) They personally measured the length of each eye and the distance between the eyes, analyzed the CT and photos, and explained what method would be used to fill empty spaces to make the nose I wanted, and placed silicone on my nose while explaining in a way that let me understand how many mm of silicone would be appropriate. (It helped me roughly imagine what height it would be.) I had been thinking of surgery costs under 4 million won, but they quoted 4.6 million, so I hesitated a bit.. Still, I felt I had found a hospital where I could trust them with my nose, so I decided it would be okay even if it cost about 600,000 won more than expected. How I chose where to go for consultations When I watched rhinoplasty vlogs or looked at various information, I often saw people say to go based on a recommendation from someone you know. But around me.. I don’t have any acquaintances who’ve had rhinoplasty.. Just one person.. the person who had rhinoplasty is my real older sister (genetics issue). ?Then you might think, “Shouldn’t you just go to the hospital where your sister had surgery?” My sister had surgery 11 years ago, so she doesn’t remember the information, and she had surgery without an implant, but it became a drooping case, so she had looked into revision surgery. (My sister wants an extremely dramatic look.) What the director said when my sister went around for revision consultations: “The first hospital really painstakingly tied the cartilage stitch by stitch so it wouldn’t droop, but it ended up drooping, so we have to undo that again. It’s a high-difficulty surgery.” (= if you get revision surgery, your bank account will be empty for 6 months) In the end, my sister couldn’t get revision surgery, but it’s just more drooped than right after her first surgery; looking at her overall image, she’s still pretty now. Anyway, I searched on ㄱㄴㅇㄴ and ㅂㅂㅌ for exactly the nose I wanted for 2 months (= clearly defining my ideal look). After that, I found people with a similar face shape and similar nose to mine, and saved the reviews when I liked the postoperative photos. Finally, while organizing the reviews I had saved, I researched the directors who overlapped. I looked more at reviews of directors I had saved many times, and after researching side-effect cases on ㄱㅇㅅ (cafe) and this community, I booked consultations. Since it was my first surgery, I remember being very flustered in the beginning, so I wrote this hoping other people won’t waste time. There are about 10 days left until my surgery now, and I’ll post a cosmetic surgery review afterward too.
