My asymmetry and malocclusion were so severe that every time I took photos I had to worry about my face angle, and even when eating, food kept getting cut off, so it was really stressful. So I trusted that and decided to get double-jaw surgery haha!
In the early period after surgery, the swelling went up and down, and my nose kept alternating between being blocked and clear, but it gradually got better. Once I started eating soup with a small spoon, I felt like I had some hope? lolol Once I started breathing through my nose and removed the tape, the swelling did rise again, but I could still feel myself recovering little by little. I could speak little by little, go out for short walks, open my mouth, and slowly eat rice too.
Sensation gradually came back, and I became able to chew most foods. Sometimes when the weather was cold, my jaw felt stiff, but,. From some point on, the swelling had gone down so much and my mouth looked so natural that I was living almost forgetting that I had surgery haha. A little before half a year had passed, I could chew nuts too, and maybe because more sensation had returned, chewing felt a bit more sensitive, but it wasn’t uncomfortable, and the swelling continued to go down more naturally little by little!!!
To talk about my review now at 8 months!! I can now chew most hard or tough foods, and except for a slight remaining swelling around the philtrum area, almost all the swelling is gone, so I don’t even think about having had double-jaw surgery. My sensation has completely returned, so there’s nothing uncomfortable at all. When I touch it, I can feel that the bones have healed well, and now I’m so satisfied that I can just live my daily life with no problems at all, almost forgetting I had surgery haha. Director Shin Hee-jin is the best >_<♥
