6 months ago, I had surgery where they tied the cartilage, added ear cartilage, and inserted silicone. About three weeks after surgery, the cartilage was slightly visible outside the nostril. They said it was because the original cartilage lengths were different, so they stitched only the part where the cartilage was protruding, and I had been doing fine. But starting about a week ago, I could feel something like a scab on the ceiling inside the opposite nostril, and in the end, the cartilage came out on the other side too.. Someone I know had it done easily, and I only heard that it was no big deal, so I didn’t look up any information and just went ahead with it. These past 6 months have been so emotionally difficult I hope other people decide on surgery carefully.
