I think this is the first time I'm telling someone about my nose surgery. In 2008, I had my first nose surgery at ㅁㅋ Plastic Surgery in Gwangju, Jeolla-do, at my mother's recommendation. I was really young and hadn't even been thinking about nose surgery, but since my mom had teased me since I was little, saying my nose was ugly, and said she'd been recommended a good hospital, I went. At that time, I only had silicone inserted. Really.. I still regret touching it then, and I also resent my mom for teasing my perfectly fine nose and making me get surgery.. I originally had a short nose with long nasal alae, so my nostrils were visible from the front. Other than that, my nose wasn't low or uneven enough to be ugly, and functionally it was extremely healthy. But during the first surgery, that country bumpkin doctor put in a thick piece of silicone like chalk, so I lived under huge stress for years. Then around December 2013, again only listening to my mom, I had revision surgery at ㅅㄷㄹㄹ in front of Gangnam Station. Even while having revision surgery, I knew nothing about nose surgery, and that hospital was where I first heard the term septum. I had surgery to insert silicone at a slightly lower height and raise the nasal tip using septal cartilage inside my nose. I had crossed a river I couldn't turn back from... As a result, the outer appearance of my nose became quite pretty, but the drawback of my nostrils showing became even more noticeable as the tip was raised high. Not only was the drawback not improved, but as a side effect my septum inside the nose became deviated, causing problems with breathing. Haah... The silicone and cartilage are both so uncomfortable, and it looks very obvious that I had surgery, so I'm stressed. On top of that, the inside of my nose became deviated, and they say this can't be restored 100% like before.. I had consultations about removing all the materials inside my nose, and they said if I did that, my upturned nose would become even more upturned and couldn't return to how it was... The method is to improve the upturned nose using cartilage while removing only the silicone, but removing silicone isn't just simply taking it out. They say sometimes the nasal dorsum is shaved when silicone is inserted. As I remember, the first hospital said they shaved my nasal dorsum. They asked if I had injured it when I was young and then shaved the nasal dorsum however they wanted. At the time, I just thought maybe that's how it was, but thinking about it now, I think they deliberately flattened the nasal dorsum to make inserting the silicone easier... Ugh, seriously, such a quack.... In such cases, when the silicone is removed, the nasal bone on the bridge is flat and looks awkward, so they say the nasal bone shape needs to be shaved a bit more naturally. Of course, if that happens, the recovery period will be further delayed and the chance of side effects will be a little higher.. Since they haven't opened my nose yet, nothing is certain. But right now I'm so worried and scared.. Sigh.. A while ago, I had consultations at several places: a large hospital in Apgujeong and a not-so-large hospital in Apgujeong Rodeo.. What I felt this time is that large hospitals really don't seem right. ㅅㄷㄹㄹ was also a fairly large hospital, and one of the hospitals I consulted this time was one almost everyone knows, so I trusted it and went, but they were people blinded only by money.. Not knowing that, I paid a deposit, but I'm planning to cancel.. I've only been to two places so far, so I'm going to keep looking around and getting more consultations.. Seriously, for those who still haven't touched their nose, really~~~~ please don't do it if you can possibly avoid it. Nose surgery is truly difficult, and once you touch it, there's no going back..
