The surgery took about 1 hour, and before and after the surgery, the director in charge and the consultant gave me enough explanations, so I was able to undergo the surgery with real peace of mind. They kindly answered every question I had, so my anxiety eased a lot, and I felt that the overall process was really systematic. On the day of surgery, I was a little nervous, but the staff were also so warm to me that I could enter the operating room feeling good. Right after surgery, there was some swelling, but it was not as severe as I expected, and the bruising faded quickly. Even though I had the surgery by full incision, my recovery was really fast, and the line started to settle naturally to the point that people around me asked, “Is this really incisional?” From immediately after the surgery, they took good care of prescriptions for swelling management and bruise relief, so I was able to get through the early recovery period without major discomfort. During the first week, there was slight swelling and bruising around the eyes, but after 2 to 3 days it gradually started to subside, and there was almost no pain. To be honest, I had been quite worried about pain, but it was much more tolerable than I expected and did not interfere much with daily life. As instructed by the clinic, I consistently applied cold compresses and took the prescribed medication properly, and recovery was much faster. Most of all, I really liked that the clinic provided very thorough aftercare, which helped reduce my worries about swelling or scarring. It has now been about a month since the surgery, and the line is settling more and more naturally, while my impression has become much clearer and softer than before. Before, it was so hard to do makeup without double eyelid tape, and I was stressed because my eyes always looked stuffy, but now I feel so satisfied every morning when I look in the mirror. More than anything, I think the biggest change is the confidence I feel. If you are considering double eyelid surgery, I really want to recommend it.
