My original eyes were small monolids and one eye drooped, so I decided to have surgery. I wanted a completely natural look, so I told them to make the diagonal canthoplasty almost as if they barely did it, the lateral canthoplasty with lower canthoplasty natural, and the double eyelids inline. Before suture removal, the bruising and swelling were so severe that I didn’t think much of it, except that one side’s lateral canthoplasty with lower canthoplasty seemed a bit overcorrected? But the stitches were removed, and today is day 4 after that. As you can see in the photos, I’m worried because the eye asymmetry seems so severe. In the photos, my current right eye still has bruising along the back line, and I don’t know whether the double eyelid line looks like a sad expression because of the bruise and swelling, or whether it looks that way because the eye has been pulled downward from overcorrection of the lateral canthoplasty with lower canthoplasty. The triangular zone where I had lateral canthoplasty with lower canthoplasty on the left is slightly swollen, and it seems like the swelling is gradually going down. But the asymmetry is really so severe that every night I’m overcome with anxiety, and I’m really, really distressed and scared, so I’m leaving this post. The clinic says it turned out well and to watch the progress, but am I overreacting? I’m so scared because I keep thinking it’ll stay the same even with time. Has anyone had the same or a similar experience as me?
