After my first nose surgery 10 years ago, the silicone had slightly shifted downward and the nasal tip had drooped too, so my nose became one that was hard to see as belonging to someone who’d had nose surgery. After thinking about it for about a year, a doctor from Gangnam opened a plastic surgery clinic near my house, so I thought, ‘Great, I don’t have to go all the way to Gangnam lol,’ booked right away last February, and had revision rhinoplasty. During my first nose surgery 10 years ago, there had been absolutely no problems, so I thought this time would pass smoothly too~ but inflammation broke out;; My guess is that the bleeding wasn’t completely controlled at the end of the surgery, but they just closed the nose,,, that’s how it felt. Because this inflammation happened because blood kept filling up in my nose~~~ㅠ I really went through every possible kind of suffering. I think they put cotton inside my nose 3 times; and they shoved that hard cotton in while I was fully conscious,,, fuck,,,, even thinking about it again makes me curse. I went through so much emotional distress. As a last resort, they said, ‘Let’s just open the nose and wash it out once!’ so I lay back down on the operating table, but when I woke up, suddenly my ear was wrapped in a bandage, you know? When they opened it to wash it out, the inflammation in my nose was severe, so they discarded the left ear cartilage they had put in (used during the first surgery) and took out what little right ear cartilage I had left and put that in,,,, ha,,,, Of course it must have been the only option, but my mental state just crumbled. Because of the sleep anesthesia, I was a bit dazed when the doctor said, ‘Your nose will be lower than what we initially planned, but it won’t interfere with daily life at all, and after 6 months, whenever you want, we’ll proceed with another revision surgery at no additional cost’... I was sad but held back my tears, said, ‘Ah, yes,,, yes,,,’ and changed clothes, but the moment I heard my mom’s face and voice after she came because the clinic contacted her, I burst into tearsㅠ My mom was furious too, but since they were the people who would be handling my face, she held it in and asked what had happened,,, After that, I just lived thinking this must be my fate, and then it became September 2024. Around September, a lot of the swelling went down, and again!! I started thinking, ‘I spent several million won on this nose, is it right to live with it looking like this?’ Because it was a really natural^^ nose, almost,,, um,,, for example, something like BLACKPINK Lisa’s nose? A nose no one would believe had surgery at all. Anyway, my mom scolded me a lot and told me to just live with it, but I went to the clinic and scheduled another appointment. In conclusion, in September 2024, I used autologous costal cartilage and raised only the nasal tip again. (The silicone was only replaced at the same height.) Writing it out like this makes me realize I really went through a lotㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ Honestly, even now my nostrils are slightly uneven, so I’m a bit disappointed, but I think this is unavoidable because of my original asymmetry + different facial bone heights. I told the clinic about this too, so they did shave down(?) the nasal bone a bit on the deviated side. Nose surgery,,, it feels like the mental distress becomes bigger after doing it than before doing it,,, everyone agrees, right?ㅠㅠ I go around telling my friends never to get nose surgeryㅠㅠ Anyway,,, honestly, I don’t resent the clinic I went to,,, they handled things afterward very well and were sincerely worried and took care of meㅠ The inflammation could honestly have been 100% my own issue! To commemorate joining this community, I’m recording the behind-the-scenes story of my nose surgery that I haven’t shared anywhere elseㅋㅋㅋ
