<Before surgery><After surgery>I always thought my nasal bridge was too low, and I couldn’t stop thinking that I wanted to raise it. So I decided to have surgery, and while looking up reviews of directors at several hospitals, I saw reviews of Director Choi Won-cheol at ㅂㄴㄴ. I felt the review photos were really similar to the nose shape and direction I wanted, so I went for a consultation. Consultation: They said about 5 mm of silicone should be enough. My septal cartilage looked insufficient, so they said donor rib cartilage should be used together to match the nasal bridge height and nasal tip height, and it would likely be possible to maintain it without drooping. Nasal tip defining point correction was needed (it was slightly uneven, so the asymmetry had to be corrected). Bulbous nose and hump correction too.. When I had a CT scan, I was told I had a deviated septum and inferior turbinate hypertrophy, and they recommended two types of functional nose surgery. I felt confident because the consultation was professional and straightforward, so I made the final decision to have surgery. As the swelling gradually goes down, it seems to be becoming more natural and pretty, so I’m satisfied. There was almost no pain, and the hard part was about a week until the splint came off..? Daily life was possible, but it was uncomfortable having the cotton blocking my nose and having to stay with the splint on. Still, once all the stitches and the splint were removed, it felt so much better. Sleeping was okay too, and after that, the swelling inside my nose went down a lot, so breathing gradually became more comfortable. They said smelling and breathing will both improve more as the mucosal swelling goes down, so after getting functional rhinoplasty, don’t be dissatisfied that it doesn’t change dramatically right away, and try waiting enough.
