I’ve had rhinoplasty a total of 3 times, including this time. The first time, when I was 20 and didn’t know anything, I had septal surgery at an ENT clinic. They lifted my nasal tip with septal cartilage and put the lowest-height silicone implant in my nasal bridge, but strangely it looked too high, so I had another surgery just to remove the silicone. That was the problem. The nasal tip area gradually lifted as if it were contracting, and the tip of my nose deviated to the left. Some people noticed it right away, and even if they didn’t, it showed so much after taking photos that it was stressful. Still, it wasn’t easy to decide to have revision surgery, but this time I wanted to look pretty in my wedding photos, so I looked into revision surgery as well. After choosing a few candidate clinics, I went for consultations in person. During the consultations, I carefully checked the clinic atmosphere, the director’s skills, and actual before-and-after photos. In particular, it was important that the director looked at the condition of my nose and explained in detail what surgery I needed and what should be done to harmonize with my face shape. The clinic I ultimately chose had good reviews, and Director Kim Jae-yoon, who consulted with me, explained everything very thoroughly. I trusted Director Kim Jae-yoon when he said that the prettiest nose is not simply a high nose, but one that harmonizes with the face. He recommended autologous costal cartilage, and they said that because it is autologous cartilage, it is strong and gives the prettiest nasal shape. Since this was my third surgery, I chose autologous costal cartilage. And although I haven’t received the treatment yet, they said they would also provide laser treatment for the autologous costal cartilage scar area, and I hadn’t really seen that kind of care before, so it made me trust them even more! Right after surgery, I couldn’t really tell because swelling and bruising kept me from seeing the proper appearance. But as time passed, the swelling went down and the line started to settle, so my satisfaction gradually increased. It still looks deviated because it’s swollen, but the biggest change is that my nostrils are not visible from the front. As the nasal tip has naturally taken shape, it gives a refined look. It’s only been one month, so there is still some swelling, but I like it because it seems to have turned out the way I wanted.
