Today marks exactly day 8. I was going to write in week 2, but the shape improved faster than I expected..
I had written so depressingly about my nasal bridge looking ground down... but now it has gotten better:) For me, that ground-down feeling came across as a pressed-in feeling, like I had been hit. As the swelling on both sides went down, that area is coming back too. The director also said it was because the silicone had pressed down on the tissue, and that as the tissue fills back in, I shouldn’t worry at all. After about a week, it’s at a level that can be covered with contouring!
And the open-incision scar I was worried about! The open scar is better than I expected. It’s the same as my first scar and is just red. As time passes, I’m going to manage it while applying ointment!
My nasal tip is higher than before. The tip is high compared with the nasal bridge, so it does look odd to me, but it doesn’t look strange to others... My nose was originally a droopy, bulbous nose, so the tip can’t help but be highㅠㅠ The support wasn’t completely removed; a little was left.. But I think the tip looks prettier than my previous nose, so I like it.
Um.. Also, for my skin, since I removed the taping early, there’s just a little flaking on the part of the nasal tip I couldn’t wash. Oh, a good thing about removing the silicone is that when I apply toner, I pat my face while putting it on.. and now it doesn’t hurt at allㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠ Even when I stroke the cheek beside my nose, there’s no silicone feeling at all.
I think it would be really nice if the swelling between my eyebrows goes down a little more and the tissue fills in a bit more.. Of course, my nose now isn’t completely free of swelling, so I’m not totally satisfied, but still, I’m relieved..! I’m not really doing warm or cold compresses right now, but is there anyone who can tell me how I should take care of it?
And for those having nose implant removal, if you just think about why you had nose surgery in the first place before removing it (there must have been some part you weren’t happy with, right..?), I don’t think the nose shape will end up looking very strange or anything!
I like my nose after removal more than before surgery or after surgery!
