I’m 21 years old. I had my first surgery when I was 20, after the university semester ended, and got rhinoplasty in August. People around me were getting it done so easily, and because I was young, I thought everyone became pretty if they had cosmetic surgery. Despite my parents’ objections, I barely persuaded them by saying I would do it with the money I earned, and I had surgery for a bulbous nose using nasal silicone and septal cartilage. But as the swelling went down, the nasal bridge gradually started to look crooked. One side of the nasal tip also protruded more. So I went to the hospital, and they said they would correct it, so I had revision surgery again in December, just 4 months later. They used the same implant as before. But I only got more scarring, and the nasal tip shape became even uglier.. From then on, I really developed social anxiety, took a leave of absence from university, and just waited for my nose to recover.. I told myself it was swelling, that it would be okay once the swelling went down.. But was that just a useless dream.. It didn’t change at all So I went back, and they said they would do it again. At first they stubbornly insisted it had gone well, but when I went with my mom, their attitude changed. So 5 months later I had another revision surgery. But they said we should do alar reduction together too, so I paid an additional 1 million won and had the revision surgery.. But the result was even worse.. They added ear cartilage on top of the septal cartilage in my nasal tip.. My nasal tip was already high, but it got even higher, and I clearly told them not to raise the bridge any more, but because they made the tip higher, I guess they raised the bridge more to match it.. Seriously, the implant shows through completely.. The glabella area of my nose feels tight too.. and the foreign-body sensation is severe And because I also had alar reduction, the scars are really awful, my nose got higher, my nostrils/alar width got narrower.. My face looks pinched inward... I have a cute-looking face, but only my nose really looks separate from the rest I wonder why I ever learned about rhinoplasty and why I’ve had to suffer like this for a whole year.. I feel so sorry to my parents.. I used to have an outgoing personality, but after my nose became like this, I’ve become really sensitive.. I’m scared to look at people’s faces.. Now I really just want to live like a normal human being.. with peace of mind.... After having revision surgery, I saw myself looking into yet another revision surgery and thought I was crazy.. Now I’m sick and tired of even the word cosmetic surgery.. Those who have had nasal implants removed.. Please give me advice..
