Revision Surgery Review

It’s been almost a year now since I had revision surgery on my eyes and nose haha. Of course, it would have been nice if everything had gone well the first time ㅠㅠ... For my first surgery, I didn’t want it to look obvious, so I asked for a natural result, but it really ended up way too natural haha. After two years, my old nose shape slowly started showing again. My skin was probably on the fairly thick? firm? side haha. The nasal tip was a bit round, like a bulbous nose. Rather than saying this was contracture... I’d say it felt like the bridge was slightly sinking back toward its original shape? From the side, to me, the nasal tip looked like it was drooping slightly downward.

So I went around to several plastic surgery clinics for consultations, and now I’m extremely satisfied!!! I still stare hard into the mirror sometimes lol. During the consultation, the director said my nose was this and that, so it wasn’t an easy nose. But he said it wasn’t a failed nose either, and if he had to give it a score, he could give it about 80 points lol. He was polite but also organized everything very honestly for me.

Um, for those preparing for surgery... if I were to give a small tip, I think it’s necessary to have a certain sense of realism? What I mean is, if you go into surgery somewhat accepting that plastic surgery cannot completely create an entirely new nose from scratch, your satisfaction will be much higher... If you’re someone who dislikes paying a lot of money but still not being able to get exactly what you want... I’d say there’s a high chance you’ll mainly be dissatisfied.

So if you go to several consultations, you roughly start to get a sense of what kind of nose you have. Whether it’s a bulbous nose, a hump nose, or a long, drooping nose, there will probably be a common way the clinics talk about how it should be approached... Within that, I think you can choose the clinic that gives you the most trust.

Honestly, when they say things like, "Our clinic approaches it in a completely different way and ~~" I felt like all of that was sales talk. And when they act like they’ll solve all the problems I want fixed... saying they’ll handle everything with their own special method < especially that kind of thing... It sounds good, and it feels like my nose could become worth a million dollars right away haha, but they’ll probably use that as a reason to quote a higher price. My first surgery was exactly like that.

And this is just my opinion, but... I don’t recommend clinics with many Chinese patients or large hospitals. Even if a clinic is small, when you go for consultations, there are many places with much better service and good directors.
