Hello. Today marks one week since my surgery. I had the stitches removed yesterday. I swelled up really, really badly after the removal surgery.. When I had my nose surgery, I didn’t swell much.. Why did the removal surgery swell more..ㅠㅠ Anyway, my face swelled up like that “fan lady,” and by day 4 it started going down, so I felt like I could at least go out, so I ran some errands. But I do wear a mask.. The swelling in the glabella and anterior cheekbones is still.. almost like someone who got fat grafting?? My condition on the day of surgery honestly wasn’t good. I got carsick on the bus and was extremely nervous, so I think the swelling and the bruise on my arm may be because of that. So for those with surgery coming up, I hope you take good care of your condition on the day of surgery. I’m attaching a photo to show the bruise on my wrist too. I edited together photos from before surgery, after surgery, and after removal.. I tried to take them from similar angles as much as possible so they’d be easy to compare,, but I’m not sure about the exact angles..ㅠㅠ I originally liked taking photos from slightly below.. I think that made my nose come out prettier. As you can see, my original nose was very low and small, but it wasn’t greatly upturned or long. I also had no nasal bridge. After surgery, it became a nose where the nostrils showed a bit from the front (the most stressful part), the nostril asymmetry got worse, and my impression looked stronger. Still, people around me didn’t notice I had surgery.. because my nose was so small..
As I wrote in a previous review, I developed an anxiety disorder, and the anxiety disorder was the biggest reason for removal. Regarding removal surgery, I was most afraid of the nasal tip lifting, so I also had cartilage repositioning to prevent lifting. As the swelling gradually goes down, I think the shape of my nose is starting to show.. I think it will probably end up somewhere between before surgery and after surgery.. I guess it really can’t return completely to my old nose. I’ll know after more swelling goes down, but that’s what I’ve observed on day 7. Still, I’m satisfied. My nose feels light, and even with swelling, I can see a bit of my old image.. Since I also felt so much psychological anxiety and worry before deciding on removal surgery, I hope my review can be of even a little help.
