On Friday evening, as soon as I got off work, I went to the clinic and had double eyelid surgery with the non-incisional buried suture method.
It was a really systematic plastic surgery clinic. It really did feel kind of like a factory.
After I went in, I got an IV injection, the doctor designed the line, then waiting. I kept waiting while lying down. The nurse kept helping me relax,,
After quite a while, the doctor came back, put me under sleep anesthesia briefly, and proceeded with the surgery. The sensation during sleep anesthesia was strange. The world looked rainbow-colored and spun around, and after an image appeared where it felt like I was being sucked into it, I could hear the doctor and nurse talking. Then I felt each eye being stitched one side at a time, so I thought, ah, the surgery is starting now.
The doctor was very relaxed and even hummed songs while doing it, so I felt relieved, thinking, ah, this really must not be a big surgery.
My under-eye area felt dry and stiff, so after the surgery they put in some eye drops?? or something like that. After the surgery, I got up and walked to the recovery room. I started cold compresses right away, and it hadn’t even been 5 minutes when they gave me a swelling pack, briefly explained what to do at home, and told me to go home. While I was lying down, I could hear people in the next cubicle talking too. Seeing that they said they had postponed their bus time to tomorrow morning, maybe they had come from another region, made me think a lot of people really come here.
I changed clothes and got in the elevator, and I think it was around 8:50. I picked up my medication and came home feeling dizzy from the anesthesia + empty stomach.
I really don’t want to do this twice. The world was spinning, I felt nauseous, and the surgical area didn’t hurt at all, but those things were hard.
My eyes are bruised now, and I’m going to get the stitches removed on Sunday morning. I hope the bruising goes down a bit...
