Double-Jaw Surgery Reviews@jaw-review

Asymmetry,, so many things really changed after surgery

Before surgery, I really, really hated photos taken by other people. It was almost to the point where you could call it a phobia. Because of my malocclusion, I had a sharp-looking impression, and only about 2-3 pairs of teeth fit together. I ate very slowly too. Around the time my protruding lower jaw started to become noticeable (around 5th grade in elementary school), I really did not want to get double-jaw surgery. It was known as a very dangerous surgery. So I looked around at all the dental clinics that did orthodontic treatment and even went through orthodontics, but I did not see improvement in my protruding lower jaw. I also had facial asymmetry, so I tried massages too, but they only made my temporomandibular joint worse. It was only when I turned 20 that I became certain I was a case that needed double-jaw surgery. So I looked through many apps and also went around to other oral and maxillofacial dental clinics for consultations. I visited many famous oral and maxillofacial surgery clinics, but none really drew me in. The results looked either too dramatic or too minimal. Then I ended up going to Y Oral & Maxillofacial Clinic. I saw people with the same concerns as me change beautifully and naturally, and I think what drew both me and my mother in was not just that they had CCTV, but that a guardian could watch the surgery in real time. It felt uncomfortable to ask a hospital for CCTV footage, and I wondered what use it would be to see it after the surgery was already over. But the fact that it could be watched in real time made it feel like the director was that confident. Also, the fact that the director did not try to sell us anything and simply explained the parts I needed treatment for made me trust them a lot. So I decided on this place right away and canceled consultations at other hospitals. So on February 4, I had double-jaw surgery and three types of facial contouring surgery (cheekbones, square jaw, and chin). Honestly, from the day of surgery until day 5, it really felt like death haha.. I could not eat anything, my nose was blocked, and because I had to bite down on the wafer, I could not breathe properly. During that time, I found a lot of comfort by looking up other people's reviews too. It made me feel like I wasn't the only one. Also, during the 2 days I was hospitalized, the nurses on duty took care of me with such sincerity. They filled water for me and kept changing my ice packs. They also put something like a call bell in my hand, and this was really nice.. I am really bad at asking for favors or calling someone over.. But whenever I pressed it, they always came and took care of me. I was truly grateful. And after discharge, I slept sitting up at home for about 2 days. After about 2 weeks, it really feels like heaven. It becomes manageable, and it is really fun to see the swelling go down day by day. Even at 2 weeks, I still had a lot of swelling, but as soon as my friends saw me, they were surprised and asked why my face had gotten so small. Also, as far as I can remember, my bite had never fit this well beforeㅠ Every day I would go "ee-" and feel proud. After a month, it just feels like daily life. There is still the point that I have to cut up tough foods or side dishes before eating them, but compared with what I gained, that is nothing. Now I can go about daily life, eat well, and am recovering diligently! A lot of the swelling has gone down, and everyone keeps exclaiming that I have become so pretty! And people seeing me for the first time would not even know I had double-jaw surgery! It turned out very natural, and the complex I had for 10 years disappeared beautifully! Thank you!
