I had a bulbous nose, so I had osteotomy + silicone + septal cartilage and it was exactly one week after surgery. Today I had the splint removed, stitches removed, swelling care done, and they said I needed to see the doctor who performed the surgery, so I saw him. He said the swelling was too severe, and that he needed to drain some blood from between my eyebrows. Then he pressed both sides of my nasal bridge really mercilessly (it felt like he was trying to fix the silicone in place), held the silicone, and from the middle part of my nose toward the area between my eyebrows, from bottom to top, he kept pressing really hard and gathering the blood. Then he said, “The needle is going in,” and pop! into the area between my eyebrowsㅠㅠ I seriously saw stars, teared up, and pressed my hand with my fingernails. It really hurt so muchㅜ Even on the way home, my head was throbbing and aching. So now there’s bruising on my nasal bridgeㅜㅜ
Ah, so I was wondering if anyone has had an experience like this, and wanted to ask, so I’m posting! For reference, I asked the nurse if this was happening because of inflammation, and she said it wasn’t that, and that they did it to reduce swelling. But I don’t know if she was just saying that to reassure me..... Usually after draining blood, people get prescribed medicine too, but I didn’t get anything like that. They just told me to come back in a week to remove the stitches inside my nose, and that was it... It should be okay, right...?ㅠㅠ
