It’s been 2 months since my nose reconstruction. First, the Gore-Tex that was in the nasal bridge was removed, and the septal cartilage that had been in the nasal tip was taken out and used together with ear cartilage to fill in the nasal bridge that had been ground down. In a way, it was a reconstruction surgery that was closer to a removal-type procedure.
After having it done, first of all, breathing is comfortable. The function improved, and many people worry that the nose will turn up, but although the shape is a little different from the first month, there isn’t much upturning.
But they say the upturning itself is strongly related to the original shape of your nose. If you’re concerned about upturning, I think it would be good to bring old photos and show them during the consultation while discussing it.
