It’s a nose I had surgery on before (the first surgery was implant-free, only septal cartilage for the nasal tip) After I had a major accident last year and my nose was fractured, the shape changed, the nasal tip became upturned, and the nasal bridge got lower, so I’m thinking about revision surgery.. I went to a total of 6 places 3 were ENT clinics, and the other 3 were plastic surgery clinics All of the ENT clinics suggested reconstructing the nose entirely (first using silicone, reinforcing the columella with autologous costal cartilage, correcting the deviated septum, using autologous costal cartilage for the nasal tip too, performing osteotomy on the fractured bones that healed out of alignment.. and since they said I also have rhinitis, even rhinitis surgery) The plastic surgery clinics said there’s no need to reconstruct everything like that, and that it would be enough to just improve the weak points by placing a thin layer of silicone, using the septal cartilage that’s currently in the tip, harvesting new ear cartilage, and slightly lowering only the part that looks upturned They said if everything is touched, it becomes too major of a surgery The ENT clinics and plastic surgery clinics have different directions, so I’m really torn.. My current nose isn’t an extremely unattractive nose either It’s just that the nasal tip is slightly upturned and the bridge has gotten lower.. I also feel burdened by harvesting autologous costal cartilage, so would it be better to just touch only the minimum..
