Hello, this is day 10 after contouring 3 procedures. For a long time, I had only been looking into contouring surgery, but this time I decided to actually do it. So I researched hospitals, went around in person, took time off work, and had the surgery! To be honest, until right before going in for surgery I wasn't thinking much of anything, and I did everything the nurses told me to do, like internal medicine exams, CT scans, blood tests, and so on. Even while I was waiting in the pre-op room, I honestly still wasn't thinking much, so I asked them to add filler to my nasolabial foldsㅎㅎ But when I actually went into the operating room, maybe because someone was having surgery next to me, a nurse covered my eyes... I suddenly got nervous, thinking maybe a surrogate doctor was doing it.. Seeing the surgical instruments and blood stains around the operating chair made goosebumps run all over me and I finally got tense.. But I didn't have much time to stay tense, because the anesthesiologist came in and gave me the injection, and after that I remember nothing.. When I woke up, a nurse woke me and asked if I could stand, and only then did I dazedly get up and go to the recovery room, where I lay down and fell asleep again. When I woke up, my throat hurt so much, maybe because of the breathing tube, and every time I swallowed, I could taste blood and disinfectant, so I felt like I was going to dieㅜ After the anesthesia wore off, my whole body was shaking and I felt cold.. I couldn't even drink water until four hours later. Once I drank water, I felt a bit better.. Personally, I recommend having the surgery in the evening so you can fall asleep right away.. If you're awake, it's so hard in the recovery room.. They put ointment in my eyes so I couldn't see well either..
I was discharged the next day, picked up my medicine, took a taxi straight home, and slept all day while only watching TV. I was in so much pain that I couldn't think about anything.. From day 2, I wore a hat and a mask and walked around the neighborhood park for three hours at a time,, I eat pumpkin juice and pumpkin porridge, but even by day 5 I was still swelling like crazy.. The compression band was squeezing my neck so hard I thought I would die.. Starting day 6 the swelling slowly went down, and on day 7 I had the stitches removed from the cheekbone area and went around without the compression band~ But my lips were swollen like crazy, so I knew I had to wear a mask no matter what.. The hospital said my lips were more sensitive than other people's so the swelling would last longer, but now it's day 10 and my upper lip is still swollen like I've been stung by a bee, and I still have bruising on my chin.. I have no sensation in my teeth and chin, and my teeth hurt, so I've only been eating things that melt in my mouth like porridge, soup, ice cream, and tiramisu.. Today I tried dumplings and thought my teeth were going to get pulled out.ㅠㅠ. Don't believe promotional reviews saying everything recovers in 2 weeks like I did.. It's all a lie.. Anyway, once the feeling in my teeth comes back, I'll leave another review then. Everyone, good luck with your surgery!
Still, seeing the swelling go down a bit and looking at a face without cheekbones and square jaw makes me feel completely relieved even though it hurts :)
