I had incisional eye surgery + epicanthoplasty at a plastic surgery clinic in Jamsil~ Now that everything has fully settled, I definitely have double eyelids, but people don’t really notice that I had eye surgery. However, there was nothing I could do about the epicanthoplasty. It definitely shows and looks unnatural.. Mine isn’t severe, so I did end up with pretty eyes with a distinctive cat-eye look, but it definitely depends on your original face, like luck of the draw. For some reason, when I’m tired or in poor condition, the left epicanthoplasty area becomes red and swollen. The ophthalmology clinic says there isn’t any particular problem and that it’s because I’m tired. Anyway, I’m generally satisfied with the result, and my friend had revision surgery at the same hospital, and her eyes definitely became prettier. Maybe because it was revision surgery, unlike me, she did have quite a few surgical scars left though. I also have bumpy marks when seen up close, so sharp-eyed people do notice. After seeing my friend’s result too, I think for incisional eye surgery, their style is to make the double eyelid firmly defined so the eyes look deeper.
