It’s a revision rhinoplasty, and I’m looking at ㅍㄹㅇㅂ, ㅁㅂ, ㄹㅅㅌ, ㅈㅇㅌ. For now, I want to do the revision with rib cartilage ㅠ They say rib cartilage is expensive, but since it’s a revision surgery, wouldn’t it be better to use rib cartilage and make it sturdy if I’m going to do it anyway? I really don’t want to have another revision surgery. For those of you who had revision surgery, what material did you use? If there are any materials you recommend for revision surgery, please let me know.
쭈뼛주뼛 Autologous costal cartilage. It hurts, but the chance of slipping is lower and the chance of absorption is the least. They said the effect is truly the best.
녜띠니 If it’s a revision, most of the time people do it with autologous costal cartilage.
김종곤 For revisions, rib is better—also, as everyone says, it’s sturdier. If I have to redo my nasal tip, I’m thinking about rib.
ltcsk1 Use autologous costal cartilage. Even when I used donor rib, it turned out wrong, so I had the final re-revision done with autologous rib. It felt good to remove the silicone at the same time.
박찰떡쿤 That wasn’t my hospital, but at Rowel that day, autologous costal cartilage was recommended.
spinna ㅍㄹㅇㅂ ㅁㅂ overlaps with me at two spots too! I’m also considering rib because it’s revision surgery.ㅠㅠ
꿀깍꾸 It does seem that autologous costal cartilage is used the most. Even ㅈㅇㅌ, was it specified by the surgeon?
우주아잉 If so, then autologous rib. I don’t want to use donor rib anyway because I feel inflammation could happen. ㅠ Also, I haven’t used septal cartilage before, so if at the 431 consult for ㅊㄷㅊ ㅈㅇ they say it can be used, I’d be willing to consider this too.ㅠㅠ
백설공주얌 [@쭈뼛주뼛] Thank you so much for the information, everyone. ㅜ
백설공주얌 [@녜띠니] So many people recommend rib for revision surgery!
백설공주얌 [@김종곤] Thank you so much for the information ㅜㅜ I am thinking about costal cartilage, but I guess I should decide after going for a consultation.
백설공주얌 [@ltcsk1] Really..? You had a second revision surgery ㅜㅜ Thank you for the information..
백설공주얌 [@spinna] Which doctors are you looking at for the two places??

Nose Re-Surgery@rhino-redoApr 29 Complete removal after one month due to nasal inflammation

Nose Re-Surgery@rhino-redoApr 29 I’m deciding between Asan and RU! Has anyone had surgery at Asan?ˀ̣
My nose had inflammation, so everything has been removed, and I think there’s still a little inflammation left. Considering that, I feel like Asan might be the right choice, but I’m so torn because I don’t know if the shape will turn out pr
Nose Re-Surgery@rhino-redoApr 29 Can contracture also occur with implant-free autologous costal cartilage?
