Hello! It’s already been 6 months since I had double-jaw surgery and 3 types of facial contouring surgery: cheekbone reduction, square jaw reduction, and chin surgery at Y Oral Surgery. At first, I lived each day just hoping time would pass quickly, but these days I’ve become so comfortable that I don’t even really count how long it’s been since surgery anymore. I didn’t know time would pass this quickly! Before surgery, I was really stressed because my facial bone structure was so developed. I worried about it every time I took photos, and when I went outside without a mask, I would feel unnecessarily conscious of people looking at me. But now those worries are gone. When I meet new people around me, I even hear that I’m pretty from time to time. I’m comfortably going around outside without a mask! My recovery after surgery was faster than I expected too. Chewing and sensation were almost back to normal after about 3 months, and now that it’s been 6 months, my lip movements have become completely natural. Orthodontic treatment felt a little awkward at first too, but as time passed, I adapted well and now I have no discomfort at all. Recently, the area around the pins was aching slightly, so I contacted the hospital, and they made an appointment for me right away, so I was able to receive care quickly. They said it could be inflammation, so I was prescribed medication, and they recommended pin removal. To be honest, I had also been wanting to remove the pins quickly, so I’m planning to remove them as soon as my schedule allows. It felt reassuring that I could receive care so promptly like this. Honestly, double-jaw and facial contouring surgery are by no means light surgeries in terms of cost or management. You need to prepare both physically and mentally, and you also have to pay attention to care during the recovery period. But the results were that good, and I’m really satisfied, so I truly want to recommend it to those who are considering surgery. Of course, I recommend thinking carefully and getting enough consultations!
