Finally It has been 1 year since I had surgery at Y Oral & Maxillofacial! I had double-jaw surgery and 2 types of facial contouring surgery (chin tip + square jaw) at Y Oral & Maxillofacial on January 19, 2024 haha After a year passed, my sensation has all come back now, and I am doing well with no issues, exercising and eating everything I want. Before double-jaw surgery, I really hated showing my side profile because of my complex about my protruding jaw, and on top of that, facial asymmetry always bothered me, so I felt withdrawn in daily life. Now, when I see myself confidently and proudly trying to take photos without hiding or worrying, I feel so happy and good! So if there are people who are thinking about this surgery now, I want to tell you to at least get a consultation first! I want to say that continuing to struggle and worry alone only delays time! Now all my swelling has gone down, and because I have eaten so well, my face is just a bit plump!! People around me only say good things like that I have become rounder, that my image seems softer, and that my vibe has changed, so I think my self-esteem naturally rose a lot too! I am living so satisfyingly that I would say I would absolutely have the surgery again even if I went back to before surgery. I will finish orthodontic treatment soon in March, and I want to throw it off quickly and graduate from double-jaw treatment! (Though I still have not had the pins removed..) I am waiting for the day when I can finish orthodontics soon, eat out more comfortably, and smile naturally without covering my mouth haha
