One-Month Review After Nose Implant Removal

As of today, it’s been exactly one month since my removal surgery~ I did post a quick little update before, but today I’m attaching photos too.. I’ll probably delete them again after some time, though..! The photos are mostly? side views.

I drank a lot of water and often went on walks with my dog.. I also developed two small areas of scar tissue, but they’re not noticeable externally.. They’re tiny, like millet grains, one right next to the nasal bridge and one on the nasal tip haha. They’re not a problem, and I heard scar tissue loosens up eventually anyway, so I’m just going to leave them alone~ I heard people with severe cases sometimes get scar-tissue injections, but I don’t want to do anything to my face anymore.. I guess I should just wait for them to soften naturally. Scar tissue really varies too. Some days it rises up, then the next day it settles down. It started forming around day 7. The two areas of scar tissue that remain now seem like the real scar tissue lol. Hmm, and around the third week, I had a very slight spasm near the nostril incision site lol. I Googled spasms and searched this community too, but I couldn’t find the cause, so I’m cautiously guessing maybe my nose was stressed. It didn’t throb, but it trembled as if making extremely fine waves. At first it was a bit intense, but it doesn’t happen now.

As for swelling, once 4 days pass, it seems to go down really quickly after that! I think walking outside helps reduce swelling much more than just staying still at home. Of course, on a scorching sunny day like today, even light stretching at home would be good..

What I really love after removal is that I adore the Shrek mask, and every time I apply it, my nostrils feel soft and squishy, so the mask applies much more easily and smoothly. I love that so much haha. It applies smoothly around the nostrils too, and since there’s nothing hard in the nasal bridge, even when I rub side to side it blends well. I’m thinking of slowly starting skin care treatments now, although I have to go abroad again in a month anyway ㅠㅠ.. I heard it’s best to be careful with the alar cartilage for up to 6 months to 1 year. So I’m touching the nasal tip very gently haha.

And.. maybe because the skin that had been pulling on my glabella spread out lol, my eyes look softer and my double eyelids got bigger, should I say? My friends said my eyes look bigger haha.. and that my impression looks better.. lol. I think that’s good too ㅠㅠㅠ My double eyelids used to look sharp, but now they’re naturally kind-looking double eyelids?.. How should I explain it lol. Anyway.. I like it even more because my eye shape changed prettier too. It feels like getting two benefits at once!

When I yawn, I can open my mouth wide, my nostrils flare really widely, and it feels like even my nasal bridge is breathing too, which I really love.

They told me to come in next month for the final follow-up, and I hope my nose keeps loosening up well like this until then. It feels so good because my nose is light, and I love that the flesh squishes when I rub or press it!

I think I did well not to release the alar cartilage.. My nose already looked somewhat wide.. Even if it were released, because of adhesions it wouldn’t go back to how it used to be, but if they had disturbed it, my nose might have become bulbous haha; I think leaving it alone was the right choice.

At first, after removing the silicone, I thought the nasal bridge had been shaved.. Right after removal, I looked so much like a fish-faced person.. But as the days go by, my nasal bridge is getting slimmer and more refined.. It’s been 8 years since my surgery, so I don’t even remember my old appearance.. Maybe because of that, I’m not sure whether it was slightly shaved or whether they didn’t touch it haha. I’m just grateful to the doctor who handled the first step well.. ㅠㅠ Now I can slightly make a pig nose again too, which is fascinating haha.

As for the contraction phase.. I don’t know whether it has come or not.. The clinic said some people go through it without knowing it’s the contraction phase, and some people say they don’t have it, so I don’t know when it’ll come for me..

Anyway..!! I still come into this community pretty often~ And when people ask about the information I got or the clinic where I had mine done, I answer them. I hope it helps even a little..!! Since it’s vacation, I’m coming and going like this, but once the semester starts, I’ll probably log in more slowly, right..? I hope so.. lol.

I’ve been giving an open KakaoTalk address to people who are anxious and full of worry and trying to encourage them, and I sincerely hope everyone’s removal goes well. Without worry, without regret..!! Everyone will do well..!!
