I had SMILE LASIK surgery in July 2021. I went from being a glasses person to a contact lens person, then got tired of the foreign-body sensation from hard lenses and dry, stiff eyes from soft lenses, so I decided on LASIK. At the time, I was quoted around 1.5 million? 1.7 million? won for LASEK and around 2.3 million won for SMILE LASIK, and since I hate eye pain, I chose SMILE LASIK. They checked my corneal thickness, did an exam after putting in some drug that made me unable to see, and did various professional tests, so I felt reassured. Everyone was kind. The surgery ended quickly, in about 10 minutes? and it was somewhat hard to keep staring at the green dot in front of my eyes When everything is black and you are only looking at the green dot, you get confused about whether you are looking at it or not, so without realizing it, you gradually look somewhere else.. So during the surgery, the doctor said once, Please look properly at the center! Still, it ended well without any problems. After it ended, I could not see in front of me at all, so my parents drove me home. On the day of surgery, I could barely see and there was some pain, so keep that in mind. From the next day, I started seeing pretty well, and there was light glare in dark places for a few days, but it got better quickly. I went from left/right 0.1 0.1 (myopia minus 4-5) to 1.2 1.0, and my right eye used to be better, but after surgery my left eye vision became better. I am currently in my 4th year, and although things far away are not as clear as right after surgery (they say this can sometimes happen when the treated cells grow back = myopic regression occurs), I am living fine at around 0.9-1.0. I had dry eyes even before surgery, but it did not particularly get worse and is about the same. I recommend SMILE LASIK!
