1 Original nose 2 Operated nose 3 Day 6 after removal
Please take the photo angles into account when viewing them.
My original nose was a bulbous nose, short, and had no nasal bridge.
I wrote everything in detail, but it said there was a prohibited word, so I’m summarizing and writing it again ㅠ
2015.12 - Silicone, septal cartilage harvested, but because it was short, Medpor was overlaid, 2 pieces of ear cartilage, alar reduction, right nasal bone osteotomy
There were no particular inflammation-like symptoms showing externally. In December, I felt something like a small millet-sized pimple on the left columella, and it hurt, so I went to the hospital. I went to the hospital that did the surgery, and they said this had been there since 2 years ago, probably would not go away, and was not a major problem. But when I touched it, it felt like a pimple, stung, and bothered me, so I went to another hospital. They said a stitch was protruding. They said if I left it alone, it could cause inflammation. Two days after going to that hospital, it came off while I was picking my nose and disappeared. Another uncomfortable thing was a stinging symptom around the philtrum/columella area? It came and went. At first, I thought it was because the wound area had been incised, but even after 2 years, I still had the stinging symptom, enough to bother me. Foreign body sensation + hardness + anxiety about the implant got severe.
2018.1.22 Removal at GYS. Non-open approach through both nostrils. They said they might have to open in the middle because of the Medpor, but they did not. Instead, they made the non-open incisions a bit larger. After surgery, they showed me the implant and said the Medpor was hard to remove. When the silicone was in, I had no pain around the nasal bridge and no external inflammation symptoms, but when removing it, they removed the silicone and capsule together and said inflammation had repeatedly developed and subsided. They said my capsule was thicker than other people’s. About 4 mm of silicone had been inserted. The cost was in the high 2 million won range. The price differs depending on what was inside, so it would probably be faster to ask directly. After removal, it really seems right to say it is exactly between my original nose and the operated nose. I had the stitches removed today and was prescribed Rizaben. They prescribed it to prevent hardness? I still need to keep watching it, but please, please, I hope there is no contracture ㅠㅠㅠㅠ I’ve had such a hard time since January.. I hope everyone finds a hospital that suits them and has a successful surgery.
