Because my bulbous nose was severe, I had the cartilage tied, the nasal tip raised, and ear cartilage used at the nasal tip. At that time, to eliminate the step that would form with the nasal bridge, they placed AlloDerm on the bridge, plus I had alar reduction done'
It was a really major surgery. Originally, it was bone that needed osteotomy, but I gave up because I have rhinitis... They wanted to place silicone just slightly on the nasal bridge, but I was scared of inflammation and asked them to remove it. It has improved compared to before... but honestly, I wonder if I should have had the osteotomy done when I did it. And they should have raised the nasal tip and then done the reduction, but the doctor said that even if they reduced my nostrils, mine are still on the larger side, so they did not make the nostrils look lifted. Also, this is something I heard while getting a revision consultation at another hospital: they said the ear cartilage is not supporting the nasal tip and raising it, but that the cartilage was just placed on the nasal tip and is not providing any support at all. While explaining, they pulled my nose forward with a cotton swab, and I thought, 'Ah... I see.. The surgery wasn't exactly done well.' For now, the sizes of both alae are mismatched, and when viewed from below they are asymmetrical. When I went to the hospital that did the surgery and asked about this, they said, "Facial axis. When we operate, we prioritize the shape from the front first, then the shape from below, and it is because there was asymmetry in the original face." Ha... It would have been better if I had also done osteotomy the first time, but that is surgery that touches bone and cannot be reversed, so I've decided to put up with it... In my current state, I'm thinking of just redoing the alar reduction to reduce the width a bit. But the hospital where I got the revision consultation said it would look strange if I do alar reduction.... I don't have more money to do a revision that touches cartilage entirely, and since it's a revision surgery, I want to avoid touching it as much as possible.. I also looked into chin-tip surgery, and the prices varied from the mid-1 million won range to 3 million won? Touching the chin would probably be risky, right?
But plastic surgery really is ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ Of course, I haven't liked my face shape since long ago either, but I had the mindset of, I'll only do my nose. But after doing one thing, honestly I think surgery also feels a bit easier. It would be right not to do the chin tip, right? If it's not a severe protruding jaw or anything, and just for cosmetic purposes, I mean. For alar reduction, even though it can't be reversed if I do it, it's just cutting skin and the price is on the cheaper side, so I'm thinking of doing it. If anyone is willing to look at photos, I'll attach photos later.
