I first became interested in double eyelid surgery when I started using double eyelid glue in high school. As I kept using it, I felt like my eyelids were gradually sagging, so I visited about two clinics in Gangnam. I went to the first clinic with some friends. I’m the type whose eyelids don’t have much fat, so I didn’t really need an incision, but the doctor kept emphasizing that incision surgery and eye correction had to be done together no matter what, which felt commercial and I didn’t like it very much. Some of my friends had surgery there, but none of them turned out naturally, so I wouldn’t recommend it. The second clinic quoted a fairly high price even though it was for buried sutures, but one of my friends had the procedure there and it turned out very natural. The doctor there said my eyes were exactly the type that would look good with buried sutures alone, and that incision surgery and eye correction weren’t really necessary, so it felt less commercial and I chose that place. It’s been 2 or 3 years since I had double eyelid surgery, and it really doesn’t look like I had it done. When choosing a clinic, I think it’s best to look for one that matches the style of double eyelid you want. If you want a natural, not-overdone double eyelid, the clinic I went to doesn’t seem bad eitherㅎㅎ I hope this is helpful!ㅎ
