Thank you, Kim Yuna and nknn. Your comfort and help meant a lot^^ Yesterday I had 3 mm silicone removed from my nasal bridge. I only had silicone in the bridge, and it did not extend long down to the nasal tip. Because it was old silicone removal, after inflammatory symptoms appeared I was so anxious, and while taking antibiotics I hoped and hoped that the symptoms would please disappear. The inflammatory symptoms that started in October would calm down for a while and then recur, and on some days my nose felt like it was being pulled upward all day, with throbbing and tingling sensations. Above the painful silicone on the nasal dorsum, the skin color sometimes looked bluish, and from the time the inflammatory symptoms started, I felt like the skin was gradually changing color too. When I asked other people, they said they couldn’t tell, but to me it looked that way. After setting the removal date, because of the pulling-up symptom and pain in my nose, I wanted to remove it as soon as possible before it became upturned, but when the day of removal came, the pain calmed down, so my mind kept going back and forth, wondering if it really was inflammation or if it might just settle on its own. My heart was pounding, and because I had booked the first slot, there was no more time to think, so I set off for the hospital. Even on the way, thinking about how hard the sense of loss would be after taking it out made me tear up. I felt so sorry to the hospital, but I kept wondering whether I should just lose the 100,000 won deposit and turn the car around, what should I do, what should I do, and in the end I arrived at the hospital. They said that whether I removed it or not, I could first finish the surgical preparation and decide again, so I washed my face, briefly saw the director, and had to go into the operating room, but I couldn’t move my feetㅜ Sigh~~ Because of the next surgery, I had to make up my mind quickly, and I felt like, what kind of inconvenience am I causing? But if I left without removing it and the symptoms came again, I thought I would regret not removing it then, and thinking about living in anxiety that it might become upturned, I felt there was no choice, so I ended up removing it. I did it under sleep anesthesia. I woke up when they were taking out the silicone, and it did not come out all at once; it came out after they pulled several times. I feel like I heard there was some calcification, or maybe I didn’t, and I saw the removed silicone, and it was softer than I expected. Since it was sleep anesthesia, there was no pain at all. I came out with tape on, and after coming out there was no pain at all, but around 4 o’clock my nose started to throb and hurt a little. Sometimes it itches too. They told me to do cold compresses for three days, so I’m doing them diligently. After waking up from sleep, I don’t have painful symptoms, and maybe because they didn’t remove the capsule or anything like that, the swelling is only slight. I had inflammatory symptoms, so I’m a little worried whether it’s okay that they didn’t remove the capsule. I’m going tomorrow to have the tape removed. I’ll post another review.
