After I arrived at the hospital and waited about 10 minutes, the director came and removed the splint for me. Last time, when the nurse removed it, she pulled it off so hard that I wondered if the silicone might move, so I told the director about that, and this time he removed it himself. Very gently, like handling a newborn baby~ Until yesterday, I was worried because it didn’t seem that different, but after taking the splint off today, the line came out prettier than I had expected. It didn’t get much higher though The area where the splint had been layered on turned red, but he said that would heal in about a week, and since it’s a wound, I shouldn’t put makeup on it and should just leave it alone. And he said that if I later look at it and want silicone inserted, he would do that for me! But I just hope the swelling goes down well like this, the donated costal cartilage doesn’t get absorbed, and it stays well Surgery was honestly so painful. This place even uses general anesthesia. Maybe because the director’s style is very cautious, he seems to use general anesthesia in case you move even a little,?? But because they do endotracheal intubation, it also shocks the teeth and my throat hurts like it’s going to tear. The general anesthetic is really strong, and I had it twice one week apart, plus they gave me antibiotics like they were nutritional supplements, so my immune system dropped and I got 5 to 8 tongue sores, and they don’t heal even when I apply ointment As soon as I got the antibiotic IV today, the tongue sores that had been getting a bit better came right back up ㅋㅌ And my blood vessels are narrow, but because they kept putting in IVs, I have bruises here and there on my arms too I really hope this is the last time.. Below is what I wrote before ----/////--------------------- About 12 years ago, when I was 20, I didn’t know anything and had nose surgery using septal cartilage only for the nasal tip, but when I went back to school after vacation, there was so little difference that nobody knew I had surgery. So I kept thinking about it, and the director at Finish Hospital seemed to specialize in revision surgery and the reviews were good, so I went for a consultation and had surgery 2 weeks ago.. After consulting with the director, we decided to insert 2.5 mm silicone + 2 pieces of donated costal cartilage, scheduled the surgery date, and I went into surgery. I had general anesthesia, and there was also a director specializing in anesthesia, so I felt reassured. They said the surgery went very well, so I felt relieved. Even to me, maybe because it was swollen, it looked like it had become higher. After getting through the painful time, I had the splint removed on day 7, and my nose swelled up like a big-nosed person.. The nurse kept pressing it to stop the bleeding, but it swelled even more? The director came and looked, then said blood had pooled, and that it had also pooled inside the nose where it shouldn’t, so he would first try drawing the blood out, but if the bleeding hadn’t stopped by tomorrow, he would have to open the nose right away and stop the bleeding. He postponed his entire schedule for the next day. I think they used about 5 syringes to draw the blood. It seriously hurt so much, and I can usually endure most pain (to the point that tattoos don’t hurt me), but it hurt enough that I was sobbing and crying. Still, I was grateful because it seemed like the director made decisions and treated me right away. After drawing all the blood, I got an IV with hemostatic medication and antibiotics, got a swelling injection in my nose too, had the splint put back on, and he told me to come prepared for surgery for now, so I thought I was going to lose my mind.. The next day my eyes were swollen almost like day 3 after surgery, so I ended up going straight into the operating room, and the director said the bleeding had all been stopped, there was no inflammation, and thankfully both the septal cartilage and donated costal cartilage had not melted and were standing well. He said that just in case, he removed the silicone. Because there had been quite a lot of blood, he was worried that the areas where he had stopped the bleeding might fill with blood again because of the silicone? I think that’s what he said. Since then, I’ve been going to the hospital once every 2 days to get antibiotic + hemostatic IVs and have been diligently doing ice packs, and today, 14 days after the first revision surgery, the swollen face shape like Kan Mi-youn has almost all gone down and it doesn’t seem like blood has pooled again. I’m finally going to get the splint removed later this morning. But what I’m worried about is that after removing the silicone, my nose doesn’t look that high. I really hope this is my last surgery, so since I was doing it, I wanted it to turn out really pretty and well,, but I already used donated costal cartilage, whose absorption rate is said to be unpredictable, and now without silicone too, I’m worried there won’t be much difference again like before. I paid a lot of money too If I want silicone inserted later, I can have it inserted, but would it be better to do that? Looking at posts in a community, it seems like quite a few people developed inflammation from silicone over time, and there was also a comment saying that if you had blood pooling, inflammation will definitely happen, so I’m even more conflicted. I wonder if I should just not be greedy and live like this, but then I also think, after all this suffering + cost + time, this is the result..? My mind has been complicated for days,, Even in the photos, doesn’t it look like there’s not much difference? What I’m most worried about is whether to insert silicone later or not.
