I’m planning surgery to improve my slightly sausage-like eyes, asymmetry, and deep crease lines that look unnatural when my eyes are closed, and I’m also getting consultations for lateral canthoplasty + lower canthoplasty together. The prices vary from 3.6 to 5.8 million won (eye revision + lateral/lower canthoplasty) haha 1. ㄱㄹㅂ Plastic Surgery Director ㅂㅈㅊ No consultation fee It was a consultation that felt kind and cool? at the same time. They didn’t explain every single surgical method in detail, but it was still a pretty decent consultation. 2. ㅇㅇㅌ Plastic Surgery Director ㅇㅎㅂ No consultation fee He was young, very sharp, and explained things clearly and confidently. He recommended ptosis correction, but said I could do it if I wanted, and if I didn’t like the look of the mucous membrane showing/everted, then I shouldn’t do it. He also explained the surgical method in fairly good detail. 3. ㅇㅅㅇ Plastic Surgery Single-director clinic No consultation fee I was a bit late for my consultation Maybe because he had surgery scheduled afterward, it felt like the consultation was rushed and somewhat half-hearted? Also, the price was really much, much cheaper than every place I had visited so far, so that in itself made me wonder for no reason whether this was right lol Here too, they explained it like, if I want ptosis correction, then I can do it, and if I don’t want lower canthoplasty, I can just do lateral canthoplasty~ so it wasn’t easy to decide. 4. ㅎㅌ Plastic Surgery Director ㅇㅅㅅ No consultation fee He had an atmosphere that made him seem very smart. He spoke very clearly and concisely, and he said ptosis correction was essential for me. For lateral/lower canthoplasty, he said if it wasn’t urgent, it would be better to do the double eyelid revision first, let it settle, then look at the eyes and proceed with lateral/lower canthoplasty. He was the first doctor to say that. It was the fourth hospital I visited, and at that point, it was the one I liked the most! 5. ㅇㄹㅇ Plastic Surgery Director ㅇㄷㅅ I think the consultation fee was 5,000 won This was the fifth place I went to, and among the five, they said the most different things.. Every other place said to go with an incision method and proceed by undoing the existing double eyelid, but only here they said they would leave the existing line as is and do a partial incision, and then told me to do it again when I’m a bit older... I could think, does this mean there’s no overtreatment? But since they talked so differently from other hospitals, I got confused whether it really wasn’t overtreatment or whether they just weren’t confident with my eyes, so I just passed on this hospital. 6. ㅌㅇㅅ Plastic Surgery Director ㅇㅅㄱ Consultation fee 20,000 won The most expensive hospital... It was 1-2 million won more expensive than other places The consultation fee was also the most expensive, but honestly, I didn’t feel it was a waste. They also said I need ptosis correction. They explained things in great detail and very thoroughly, so I think this is the hospital I trust the most. I don’t know if it’s stimulating the psychology of thinking, if it’s expensive, it must be better, or if I’m being played by that psychology... Since the director has many successful cases even with extremely difficult eyes, I thought, wouldn’t eyes like mine definitely be a success? And the consultation was the best, so maybe that’s why. If it weren’t for the price, I think I would have done it here, but I’m still thinking about it Oh, but he mentioned a forehead lift, so I did slightly wonder if that was overtreatment. And somehow, both the consultant and everyone there seemed to have absolutely no lingering attachment to each individual patient lol 7. ㅇㅎㅅ Plastic Surgery Single-director clinic Consultation fee 5,000 won This is also one of the hospitals I’m considering. I was drawn to it because they said he does a lot of eye revision surgeries.. and the consultation manager was extremely kind..! The consultation time wasn’t long, but somehow I felt drawn to it? They also mentioned ptosis correction here. And at the end, the director said, “I’ll make it look pretty for you,” and for some reason those words keep pulling me in lol 8. ㅌㅂ Plastic Surgery Director ㅈㅎㅇ No consultation fee... or was there? I’m starting to get confused The consultation wasn’t bad, but somehow it also felt a bit rushed... But it was one of the candidates I was considering early on. Now that I’ve narrowed down the candidates, I just removed it.. I felt like if I were going to do it here, it would be better to do it somewhere else! But for lateral/lower canthoplasty and everything, they said they prefer doing things naturally, which was similar to the look I’m aiming for, so I think that’s why I was drawn to it. They also said I need ptosis correction here! 9. ㅌㅌㅇ Plastic Surgery Director ㅈㅇㅈ Consultation fee 10,000 won This place... was truly the worst out of the 10. First of all, from the consultant onward, it felt like they had zero intention of attracting patients. Isn’t the whole reason for doing a consultation that you consult first, and if you like it, you decide on surgery, and you choose that hospital because you liked the consultation? They knew the friend who came with me was getting a consultation while considering her first surgery, and kept repeating the same thing several times like, “Do you want to have surgery? You yourself need to have the desire.” But if they consult well, couldn’t she end up scheduling surgery? To me, they said I look fine even now, so why do I want to do it, and that even if I do something, it won’t change much. Then I went in for the director’s consultation, and the director told me that his preferred aesthetic and what I want don’t match, so it would probably be better not to have surgery lol First time seeing a hospital like this lol And he said my eyes aren’t bad now, and even though my surgery was done more than 10 years ago and may have looked bad back then, after time passed, they’re okay now, so don’t do surgery. This doesn’t feel like honest care without overtreatment, it just felt like he wouldn’t do it because he didn’t think he could. They barely even gave a consultation, so paying a 10,000 won consultation fee was kind of absurd. 10. ㅍ Plastic Surgery Director ㅈㅅㅂ No consultation fee Waiting time 1 hour The consultant was kind, and they said the consultant randomly assigns the director based on the patient’s style. So the director came in, and he explained things very meticulously and in detail, and he was full of confidence lol The consultation seemed on par with ㅌㅇㅅ. Also, there was a discount if you booked the same day, so as if I were bewitched, I put down a reservation deposit for now and came back. But afterward, I looked up reviews of the director, and I don’t think he matches me, so I think I should choose a hospital that does a lot of revision surgeries, and I’m going to get my reservation deposit refunded I went to these ten places, and the one that really felt like “this is it” was ㅌㅇㅅ, but because the price is so expensive, I can’t readily choose it, and I’m also considering ㅇㅎㅅ a bit! I’m planning to visit four more places in two weeks, since one of those might strongly pull me in.. If there still isn’t one, I think I’ll just have to go to ㅌㅇㅅ or something If I can leave reviews for the places I go to in two weeks too, I’ll try! I hope this helped many people!
