1-Year Review of Bulbous Nose Surgery at Rivens ENT Clinic (Closed, No Implant…

Hello

I came down to the countryside for the Lunar New Year holiday after a very long time, and since there wasn’t much to do, I was browsing the internet when I suddenly remembered a community I had forgotten about and came in, and there were quite a few messages. I’m sorry I can’t reply individually, so I’m writing this instead.

It feels like only a few days have passed, but somehow it has already been one year since surgery.

Even now at the one-year mark, I’m very satisfied.

1. It was bulbous nose surgery Because I had a bulbous nose, the tip looked slightly blunt, so even when I dressed up, my impression looked stuffy and a bit old-fashioned. Now it looks a little sharper, more refined and trendy, so I’m satisfied.

2. It was surgery without implants I didn’t put in any implant at all, such as ear cartilage or silicone. I did briefly consider putting just a very tiny amount in the nasal tip, but I wanted it to be 100% purely my own nose. What made me hesitate the most were comments in a community saying that if you only do nasal tip cartilage suturing for no-implant rhinoplasty, there is almost no before-and-after difference, but that is not true at all.

3. I couldn’t even have the cartilage suturing done; I only had cartilage repositioning. I had surgery planning to do both cartilage suturing and repositioning, but once they opened it during surgery, the cartilage was soooo soft and weak that if it was sutured, the cartilage might get damaged. They suggested we safely do only repositioning, and I agreed. Even though I couldn’t have it sutured and only had repositioning, there is a clear difference, so generally, if suturing is also possible, I think you could expect a dramatic difference too. Comments saying bulbous nose surgery makes no difference without implants may also come down to differences in the clinic’s skill.

4. Why I chose the clinic I did look into several places, but (1) It was known for closed surgery (2) It was known for no-implant surgery (3) I could feel the doctor’s pride in his surgeries (4) He clearly told me what was possible and what wasn’t (5) They can operate on only exactly three people per week (6) The doctor personally handles follow-up care as well Number 5 also played a big role. There are many clinics that keep doing surgeries like a factory, but here the doctor personally takes care of every process before and after surgery, and because he operates only three days a week, meaning exactly three people, I trusted that he would manage everything with focus.

5. Grateful follow-up care

Even now I’m writing this on my phone, not a computer, and the reason I’m writing this long post on my phone is because I still vividly remember how grateful I am for the consistently kind and meticulous care I received for one month after surgery a year ago.

6. Difficult parts Since it was nose surgery, for about a week there was cotton packed inside my nose, so breathing through my mouth was hard... and so on. It was harder than I expected, but whenever I went to the clinic, the doctor would warn me, “Tonight, you may get a nosebleed!” and then I really would bleed... Because they carefully managed and explained the things that could happen, I remember it being difficult, but I wasn’t worried.

As much as having a really pretty nose matters, it’s good to have surgery safely, but a pretty nose is also as important as safety.

Please research a lot and make a sufficiently wise choice! I especially hope this helps those who were worried about the same bulbous nose issue.

There don’t seem to be many reviews because there are no brokers, so I really hope a good clinic becomes more widely known.

There are no reviews that seem broker-like, but if you go to the site, there are many very high-resolution before-and-after photos, and my nose is there too lol; The photos are also lol taken realistically by the doctor himself, so I think they’ll be very helpful.

Have a pleasant holiday.
