Even so, would autologous costal cartilage be better than donated costal cartilage? I'm going around for consultations, and I only have my consultation at Chamin left as the last one. All the places I've been to so far use costal cartilage, and they told me to decide for myself between donated costal cartilage and autologous costal cartilage~ Harvesting it does feel a bit burdensome, but I still feel like my own would be better, so I'm torn I haven't yet seen anyone have side effects from using autologous costal cartilage, so I guess that means it's that safe?

Somehow I feel like I would have been anxious if I had used donated costal cartilage, but since I used autologous costal cartilage (even though they say autologous costal cartilage isn't 100% free from inflammation), I somehow feel more at ease

sincere Autologous costal cartilage is your own cartilage, so you probably don't have to worry about side effects. And as far as I know, Chamin doesn't offer surgery using donated costal cartilage
