Double-Jaw Surgery Reviews@jaw-review

It’s been about 3 years since I had double-jaw surgery

My malocclusion wasn’t severe, but because of an accident I had to get an implant for a front tooth, and since I was already considering orthodontic treatment, before getting the implant, I went to a hospital for a consultation about orthodontics and found out that I had a malocclusion where the teeth fit together exactly. Everywhere I went, they recommended double-jaw surgery to correct the occlusion, so even though I live outside Seoul, I eventually had it done at a hospital in Seoul. Looking back after 3 years, there are many things I regret. Double-jaw surgery is really not something to decide on easily; you go through a lot. In the end, even if you have double-jaw surgery, you still have to do orthodontics the same way, so it takes a long time for the teeth to be fully completed. I think those things can’t be helped, but... after double-jaw surgery, my changed face no longer looked harmonious... it felt awkward, so I kept having no choice but to touch things up~ As the jaw became narrower, the cheekbones looked more protruding, the philtrum got longer, and the nasolabial folds became deeperㅠ Also, my lips even started rolling inward, and they were already thin, but they became even thinnerㅠ If you are doing double-jaw surgery for dental purposes, I recommend it, but you absolutely will not become prettier with double-jaw surgery aloneㅠ After double-jaw surgery, I also shaved down my cheekbones again, and because of the swelling and the jaw moving backward... the remaining flesh? skin? formed something like a double chin, so I even had AccuSculptㅠ Even after that, my face still looks awkward because of the old-lady-looking mouth and the philtrum that was originally long but became even longerㅠ ㅠ Please think carefully when considering double-jaw surgery. It is absolutely not a surgery for becoming prettier~
