Hello I wrote a review yesterday, I think, but I was so out of it.. I'm a little more clear-headed now, so I'm writing a review haha
First, I had a blood test on Monday and had surgery right away on Tuesday. And today is day 3, so I went to have the inside of my mouth checked and also had laser treatment(?).
On the day of the blood test, I bought things I would need after surgery: porridge, Tylenol, a Daiso ketchup bottle? (the one with the long nozzle), corn silk tea, electrolyte drinks just in case, etc.
First, on the day of surgery, I went in by 10, designed the line I wanted with the director, and went into the operating room. My face is asymmetrical overall, so we were going to make the mandibular angle under the ears slightly different, but since the ends of my earlobes were similar, we just cut the angles under the ears similarly. (I talked with the director for a few minutes about the asymmetry... lol) And I was also getting liposuction, and they said the incision sites for liposuction and the blood drain are different. To minimize scarring, I asked them to place the blood drain through the mouth.
The operating room was at the very back of the inpatient ward. I don't know what time I went in, but when I woke up I was in the inpatient room, and it was exactly 3 o'clock. (The inpatient room is a private room, and you can use the TV and air conditioner however you want haha) I woke up around the expected time, so I felt somewhat relieved.. Actually, I have an allergy to local anesthesia, and I was so scared I might not wake up from general anesthesia ㅜㅜ When I woke up, because of the general anesthesia, my throat and nose were really.. painful, stinging, and dry like I had a bad flu, but I couldn't drink water for 4 hours ㅜㅜ It was so agonizing.. Before surgery, I had looked things up in a community and bought 2 Daiso ketchup bottles? (the long-nozzle ones that cost 500 won)... I used them twice.. lol I think you can just drink water from a paper cup.. Maybe because I only did my jaw..? Maybe because my throat hurt so much, my jaw didn't hurt at all;; Because of phlegm, I couldn't sleep properly at night, kept waking up about every hour, and spat out phlegm ㅠㅠ My throat was swollen, so I wanted to eat something warm, but they said not to eat warm foods until the stitches are removed ㅠㅠ They said only up to lukewarm foods ㅜㅜ Ah, thick phlegm kept getting stuck in my throat, so I tried to push it out with pressure, but I heard a strange crackling? crunching? sound under my ear, and it scared me ㅜㅠ Those of you getting surgery now, don't do this.. By evening, once the throat pain got a little better, I could feel that I had jaw surgery, but it was tolerable.
I was hospitalized for one day on the day of surgery, and discharged around 11 to 12 the next day. There was a nurse(?) in charge at night, and they were very kind. If you need anything, you can press the bell. Even if I didn't press the bell, they came to check on me once in a while. I slept badly at night because of coughing and phlegm.. The next morning, the director removed the blood drain and I checked the shaved facial bone. Removing the blood drain didn't hurt, but it felt like the tube had gone deep inside the jawline, so it felt a bit strange when it was pulled out. Still, it didn't hurt, so whatever.. After discharge, I picked up the prescribed medicine at the pharmacy next door and came home. I was going to walk home for an hour, but it was too hot, so I just took the subway ㅠㅠ
On the first and second days after surgery, I was out of it ㅠㅠ Should I say I had a reality check(?).. If I sat down, my back hurt, and if I lay down, my throat felt blocked because of phlegm.. Then today, on day 3, I went to have the inside of my mouth checked. When I got there, they first told me to get a swelling laser treatment, so I did, but does this actually work..? They just placed something that gave off a red light like infrared on my face, and that was it.. I thought they would rub something over my face.. The person next to me had something rubbed over their face. I wonder if it differs depending on how many days post-op you are? The director checked the inside of my mouth and said it was fine. He asked if I had any questions, and when I said not really, he left. What was that.. ㅇ.ㅇ... lol super fast
I made an appointment to have the external stitches removed next week and came back
It's nothing special, but I thought it might still help someone, so I'm writing this review haha I'll write another review when I get the stitches removed next time.
Currently (day 3), I still have coughing, phlegm, and a runny nose ㅠㅠ Maybe because I have bruising around my neck, it still feels swollen around the throat. Right now I'm eating porridge after heating it up and letting it cool. From the beginning, I could open my mouth enough to fit one finger, but I'm scared to chew, so I'm only eating things I can swallow. Porridge or drinks.. I also just swallow small amounts of rice.. lol
The swelling.. I'm swollen tight, like someone who had surgery. I think I saw a review where someone said they looked like Dooly and Mycol, and that's exactly it. Cheeks are Dooly, lips are Mycol? And when wearing the compression band, they put something like handkerchiefs on both sides of the jaw to make it tighter, but maybe because the front chin is relatively less pulled, the swelling in the front chin is completely hard;; Also.. Maybe because the blood drain was placed through my mouth, the corners of my mouth are bumpy.. It feels like something came up. What is this...? So for now I applied Vaseline..
I should be taking walks, but because of the typhoon I can't go outside ㅠ I'm scared.. They say if you walk about 2-3 hours every day, the swelling goes down better..
Um... I can't really think of anything else ㅜㅜ If I remember anything, I'll add it when I write the next review..
For throat swelling, coughing, and phlegm, people recommended balloon flower root juice and balloon flower root pear juice, so I'm going to order some after writing this review haha Then.. that's it~~
--------- Also, Until yesterday, I didn't have much appetite and wasn't hungry, so I ate one bowl of convenience store porridge all day, but today my appetite seems to be coming back, so I ate a whole bowl of porridge in the morning, went outside, bought cheesecake, castella, and marshmallows, and I'm eating them.. I was going to lose weight since I had surgery, but what if I gain instead...ㅠ I should eat them little by little before the expiration date..
