Review on Day 4 After 3 Contouring Procedures + Facial Liposuction

Day of surgery. I still don’t think I’ll ever forget the unique cold atmosphere from the day of surgery, when I went into the operating room. There were more nurses than I expected, and it was so cold. Actually, my hands and feet were so cold that my veins wouldn’t come up, so at the beginning of surgery there was some difficulty, and at that moment I briefly teared up, then I don’t remember anything after that. The surgery ended early in the morning, but I was slow to recover. I think I recovered around 9 p.m. in the dark night. I couldn’t even drink a full 10 ml of water, and I just kept sleeping, getting injections, changing the drain, vomiting, and repeating that.

Second day. For discharge, they did the dressing and removed the drain, and even that alone felt refreshing. I still had pain and dizziness, so at the accommodation I mostly lay down. And I just kept getting sleepy. I disinfected diligently, slept well, and took my medicine regularly.

Third day. The swelling was a little less. I did compresses more diligently and deliberately ate something, at least. The swelling in my throat got much better, so I could gulp down soy milk pretty well. But opening my mouth is still too much.

Fourth day. I went to remove the big bandage. Honestly, this was the day I was most curious about, and although there was still plenty of swelling around the lower cheeks, I could clearly see the change. I wore a hat to cover my face, but it suited me so well I almost cried. It was the first hat I’d ever worn in my life, as if I’d never worn one before. The swelling is like having a big round candy in my mouth, and the doctor said the surgery went well and told me not to worry. Because I had lower-area liposuction, jaw shaving, and muscle resection, my lower jaw strength is really weak. So it feels like my jaw is naturally hanging open in daily life? If I intentionally close my mouth, it closes, but how should I put it, it feels like it doesn’t align well. The doctor told me not to worry. They said once the swelling goes down, it will heal well on its own.

For now I still look like Dooly, but my facial impression has changed a lot. My eye shape also looks lowered, so I look gentler, and my long face has been improved, so one acquaintance said I changed to look more youthful. For swelling care, I deliberately walked for 4 hours today, and I’m wearing the compression band once every 3 hours. I want to recover quickly and fully return to daily life.
