I wrote a review on day 3, and I’m already writing the day-7 review.
On day 3, I went in, and after they checked inside my mouth.... I had a tiny blister around the upper part of the incision line on the left ㅜ It was small, about the size of the liposuction incision area, but they said blisters can form if the skin is weak, and they put something on it.
On day 4, I had an exam to take, so during the exam I took off the compression band and took the test... About 2 hours...? ㄷㄷ Once I took it off, it felt like the swelling was just rising up ㅠㅠ I wanted to take the test while wearing the compression band... but the band was big, so it looked too suspicious and I couldn’t ㅠㅠ Other people probably won’t have this kind of situation, but I was really anxious.. Because of the exam, I couldn’t even go for a walk, so I just promoted blood circulation by taking a warm shower..ㅠㅠ As soon as the exam ended, I tightened the compression band a bit strongly, came home, and rested..
On day 7, I had to go in to remove the external stitches. But I went yesterday^^; They told me not to be nervous, saying it doesn’t hurt at all when the external stitches are removed. It really doesn’t hurt at all lol One stitch each.. They said I don’t have much swelling either. Today, in addition to the red light they shone on my face on day 3, they said they would also do laser swelling care! Was what they did on day 3 not swelling care..? They shone the red light for about 10 minutes and rubbed my face with the laser.. I wanted them to do a lot on the hard cheeks or chin where there was swelling, but they did a lot around the intraoral incision area from the jaw surgery. It ended kind of disappointingly ㅜㅜ I wanted them to do it for a long, long time haha Lastly, they did a pack and finished~ And I made an appointment for next week to remove the intraoral stitches.
Now I don’t have to apply strong pressure with the compression band, but they told me to wear it just wrapped around because of the liposuction.
The swelling is going down unevenly on the right and left. The area under the chin where I had liposuction is still hard overall.. At first, the cheek swelling went down similarly and was okay.. But now the swelling on the left is a little bigger. I thought the swelling on the right would get bigger (my right jaw was originally bigger), so I paid more attention to the right, but the left side, which I didn’t pay attention to, has more swelling ㅠㅠ I hope it goes down quickly...
On day 3 or day 4, yellow + purple bruising came up around the corners of my mouth, and now the purple bruise remains about the size of a little fingernail, while most of it is yellow bruising. There was a fairly large purple bruise on my neck, but now the purple is almost not visible, and the front of my neck is yellow overall.
Right now, if I open my mouth, a maximum of 2 fingers can fit, but naturally, about one and a half fingers fit.
I saw a post saying swelling goes down faster if you eat well (I don’t know if it’s true or not), and stupidly, on day 3, I ate a chocolate biscuit and scraped up the roof of my mouth... I was craving something sweet.... I chewed with my front teeth and mashed it with my tongue and palate to eat it... It was a stupid thing to do. Everyone, don’t do this........
Now, well.. I’ll wait for another week to pass and then go get the intraoral stitches removed haha I hope I can get the intraoral stitches removed soon.
