(This is a photo from the recovery room after removal. The bridge and overall nose are swollen, so it looks high. It has been one month now, and it is higher than my natural nose. They said it could become higher because of something (I don’t remember exactly, so I’ll skip that). It is definitely higher than my natural nose. So fascinating.)
After the removal, everything improved overall, so I was too lazy and wasn’t going to write a post, but I also got help from this community, and I’m grateful to the doctor, so I’m posting this. I had it done by Dr. Seo Sang-woo. He newly opened his own clinic, and it looks like he opened it as Seo Sang-woo Plastic Surgery. It’s near Exit 4 of Apgujeong.
Before, he was at Yonsei Saint Hospital, so I had it done there.
Removal review----- After the removal, I have no discomfort at all. After my first nose surgery, functionally, I couldn’t breathe, and my mucous membrane stayed swollen for 2 years. (I don’t know why.) After the nose surgery, I also had rhinitis surgery and sinusitis surgery from time to time. I absolutely did not want to remove the silicone. For 5 years, my nose would become crooked from time to time and my nostrils were uneven. Most importantly, because of the functional decline, I wanted to remove it so many times, but I kept hearing that if I removed everything, it would collapse and my nose would look strange, so even though I couldn’t breathe well, I endured and endured until I decided to remove it. I had it removed one month ago. After removal, the shape is better than my natural nose, and functionally it improved so much, so I have zero regrets. The shape comes out as about (70% natural nose, 30% surgically enhanced nose). I had a bulbous nose, but it became moderately slimmer. The full removal was a success~
Above all, the director is truly humane. Of course people should be human toward other people, but these days, plastic surgeons... At the plastic surgery clinic where I first had it done, when I went back saying it was a side effect, they said there was no problem on CT, no problem on X-ray. Far from empathizing, they told me to bring proof that there was a problem. They acted like that, so I had no way to prove it and felt so frustrated. A functional problem is something I feel myself, so how am I supposed to prove it? On top of that, the shape was not pretty, so it was even more frustrating. But Dr. Seo thought through it together with me, greeted me when I left, and even threw away trash for me... In each of his actions, I felt humanity and warmth. He also takes the photos himself, and he snaps photos of me almost like a reporter. lol It seems like he never does anything carelessly. He gathers everything on a web hard drive, and he really seems like a director who works hard in that field. Most importantly, the result was good too. He treats you with complete sincerity. I was touched... I wonder how many doctors like this there are.
For reference, I had septal extension, silicone, and nasal tip surgery. I had everything removed. Around me, there are people who have side effects after rhinoplasty, but there are also many people who say they have no functional problems after rhinoplasty and became so much prettier that they don’t want to remove it. Rhinoplasty just didn’t suit me, and because I didn’t have it done by a rhinoplasty specialist, problems may have occurred. Dr. Seo Sang-woo has his own rhinoplasty style, and I am not saying unconditionally that Dr. Seo Sang-woo is the best for rhinoplasty. I had full removal, and Dr. Seo Sang-woo’s method really suited me well. (There are differences between doctors even in removal methods.) For some people, full removal may not be the answer.. I think this should be decided after a consultation.
