For a hump nose, unlike rhinoplasty that raises the nose by inserting an implant, they said they shave it down smoothly and finish by pressing it with a thin plate like latex. They said it is to prevent the bone from growing as much by keeping it pressed even if it grows. I am not a doctor, so I just roughly understood it.
