Eye Surgery Considerations

If You’re Considering Facial Contouring at 345, Please Read This

Hello. I had 2 types of facial contouring (cheekbones + square jaw (cortical osteotomy, masseter reduction, buccal fat removal)) on 2024.12.26, and it will soon be 4 weeks, so I’m writing a review. It’s a bit long. <Before surgery> Since high school, I had always had a lot of concerns because of my developed cheekbones and jaw. My bumpy face shape could not really be called pretty or attractive; it was just an unattractive face shape. It is not that I never considered facial contouring, but bone surgery at a young age was too scary, so I got meridian massage. I cannot say massage had no effect, but.. well, now that 10 years have passed, it feels like it has gone back, and I think those large facial bones I originally had are no use unless they are surgically cut down. I even had 50 meridian massage sessions and spent over 5 million won. I should have just had surgery with that money! I think I was always busy covering my cheekbones with side hair and, even after taking photos, editing my cheekbones inward with Photoshop. After deciding to get facial contouring and looking for hospitals, I found out about 345. When I learned that Director Park Jong-rim only performs surgery twice a day and is the second generation specializing in bone surgery, I already trusted them right there. His father is also a bone specialist! On top of that, they disclose operating room CCTV footage and have a separate anesthesiology director, so I felt so, so reassured! I looked into many other hospitals here and there, but I don’t think any of them felt as trustworthy as 345. <Immediately after surgery~Day 3> I was extremely nervous even before the surgery, but when I actually entered the operating room that day, it felt like an ordinary treatment room rather than scary, so I felt at ease. And as soon as I lay down, in less than 3 minutes they said, “We’ll start anesthesia now~,” and I fell asleep, so there wasn’t even time to be nervous When I opened my eyes, I was in the recovery room (around 9 p.m.). As soon as I woke up and came to a little, the area around my operated face hurt and I was cold When I told the nurse I was cold, she immediately brought a heater that blew air and put the hose? with warm air under my blanket, and I got warm in just 1 second. I really prayed that I wouldn’t have to wear a blood drain, and I didn’t have one Until the painkillers kicked in to some extent, it hurt and was hard, but once the painkillers went in, it became tolerable. For me, the sore throat was much harder than my face My bronchi are originally weak, so it couldn’t be helped I could drink water after 3 hours. I wasn’t particularly thirsty, so I was okay~ It was just that the sore throat was so hard that thirst or whatever They prepared water in a sauce bottle so it was easy to drink, which was nice♡ After 3 hours, I drank water and it was time to sleep (midnight), so I tried to sleep, but because of sore throat, nasal congestion, and phlegm, even breathing was difficult, so I woke up once every hour. Seeing that some people say they had no sore throat at all, I guess it depends on the person. Since I hadn’t slept much the day before either, I couldn’t breathe properly but kept passing out, waking up, drinking water, and going to the bathroom. Whether it was 2 a.m. or 3 a.m., I felt reassured thanks to the nurses who came running when I pressed the bell, and I was grateful because the nurses answered and explained everything so kindly even when I asked about this and that!! After getting through that difficult dawn, the next day the director came to my hospital room, asked how I was, took careful care of me, and even said funny things, so I was grateful The director’s gentle, kind way of speaking and wit made me feel much better I was discharged around 10 a.m.? and went home, lay down for a bit, then in the afternoon I removed all the bandages and gauze. Once I removed the gauze and bandages, I could see that my cheekbones had become smooth, which was so amazing!! Until the third day, the swelling heat, sore throat, runny nose, and phlegm were still the hardest, and because of the heat, I did cold compresses really nonstop. I also went for walks. My overall condition definitely kept improving as time passed. On the night of the third day, the sore throat and so on improved a lot, and I also washed my hair. Of course, I bought waterproof tape at the pharmacy, stuck it on my sideburns, and washed it. From the fourth day, the sore throat and everything disappeared, so I was so happy♡ <Day 4~1 week> I had surgery on the 26th, so I had a lot of year-end plans, but my condition was good enough that I could just wear a mask and handle my year-end schedule, so I went around diligently! If you wear a mask, there is not even a trace that you had surgery, so no one knows Definitely from the fourth day, the swelling noticeably goes down day by day. At one week, I quickly had the sideburn stitches removed (it doesn’t hurt), and they gave me a compression band, so I wore the compression band really diligently too. For food, I kept rotating between soup without solids, New Care, soy milk, and yogurt. I even have braces, so if there were any solids, they got stuck even if I just swallowed them, so I tried eating very soft porridge and then gave up Just drinking things without solids was the most comfortable. <1 week~Week 3> I could feel the swelling slowly going down little by little, and in week 2 I went to have the intraoral stitches removed. They took a CT scan of the operated facial bones, and before removing the stitches inside my mouth, I saw the director. When I looked at the CT, my facial bones had really become a V-line, which was so amazing. They also showed me photos of the removed bone, and wow.. I could really feel that the director had performed the surgery very cleanly. They said I am still very swollen now, so once all the swelling goes down later, my face will become much smaller and slimmer than now, so I’m excited and felt so good Some people said removing the intraoral stitches hurt, but for me it did not hurt at all. If you gargle diligently and manage it well so debris does not get stuck, you should be able to have the stitches removed comfortably without much pain~ I don’t think you need to worry too much Even after stitch removal, I had to eat soft foods until one month, so I kept eating porridge and soft bread soaked in milk. I also started brushing my teeth, but my mouth would not open all the way, so it was hard to brush all the way to the inner molars. I cut the toothbrush bristles with scissors to make the toothbrush flatter, then brushed! That way, I didn’t have to open my mouth much, so I could brush better than before The swelling is also going down day by day, and some sensation has returned to the flesh over my cheekbones! As time passed, sensation gradually came back. I am looking forward even more to the 1-month and 3-month marks. I wonder why I didn’t do it sooner; my 20s living with a bumpy face feel like such a waste.. I was also really scared because it involves shaving bone, but it was not as terrifying a surgery as I imagined~ At 345, they separately provide exfoliation care and swelling care up to week 1, week 2, and week 3, so that service is also really nice:) I am very satisfied, and thank you so much, Director Park Jong-rim:)
