This is my 2-week review of under-eye fat repositioning + lower canthoplasty + lateral canthoplasty. It wasn’t in Seoul, it was in a regional area. I don’t recommend the clinic. The counter staff, operating room nurses, consultant, and director were all not great and only did their own jobs. They didn’t explain anything unless I asked, and the nuance was that everything about what I was going through was annoying to them. There was no kindness, and they only explained the commonly experienced conditions and precautions. No matter what the result is, their automated-answer-style conclusion is always swelling, so they just tell you to wait no matter what.
At week 1, the bruising in my eyeballs and around my eyes was so dark that I looked almost like a monster. For about 3 days after surgery, I was so swollen I couldn’t even open my eyes properly. I couldn’t make facial expressions, my under-eye roll disappeared, and it was impossible to look downward. With conjunctival edema, pus and blood also flowed, and my eyes watered and pooled so severely that I was already practically blind without contacts, so I carried cotton swabs all day and gently wiped them off frequently. For about 3 days, I lived like a blind person, to the point that I couldn’t even see my phone screen. I had tape with gauze attached under my eyes for about 5 days. For about a week, you can think of it as almost impossible not only to go to work, but even to go outside. Now at week 2, the bruising and swelling above my eyes have gone down, but under my eyes are still very puffy, so I look like someone who binge-ate ramen the night before and cried a lot. It feels heavy, like I have sandbags hanging under my eyes For the under-eye fat repositioning, I still can’t see the boundary of the under-eye roll, so I can’t check the result yet. The lateral + lower canthoplasty was uneven, but it’s gradually recovering. As expected, compared with the initial incision shape, it feels like it has attached upward a bit and reduced There is still red flesh and redness at the outer corner area where I had the lateral + lower canthoplasty. The clinic also says I need to wait at least a month and then check the progress. I had everything done with a laser incision inside the conjunctiva! They say progress varies greatly from person to person. This was my experience. Maybe I thought about it too lightly; I expected the major swelling to go down after 1 week, but there’s no sign of returning to normal, so every time I look in the mirror, I’m really struggling emotionally.
